The Hero's Journey Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides unique transformational experiences, making use of inspiring and challenging wilderness environments to deepen self awareness and embrace unifying life experiences. People come from various traditions, cultures and countries to experience this deep level of personal and communal support. This work greatly assists those who seek successful rites of passage through significant life transitions, as well as those who seek to overcome personal obstacles and self-imposed limitations that hinder personal development and unity of mind-body-spirit. Likes: Large, engaging images of scenic wilderness settings, simple text, image-driven narrative, simple, clean and elegant design, non-cluttered space, easy to navigate for the user, easy for us to maintain the site from the Word Press back end CMS Dislikes: Clutter, complexity, corporate look. Our current website is too wordy, relies too much on intellectual wordy delivery. |

We'd like a design using Word Press as the CMS, we'd like to be able to use plug-ins for things like event management and payment. We LOVE the World Wildlife Fund website http://worldwildlife.org/. Images that we own and want to use are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/43920519@N07/ Our website should introduce our work to a newcomer, tell the story of what we do and how it will benefit you, engage and inspire, and also provide a working platform for us to manage events. (Payment, calendar etc: Event Espresso plugin, Perhaps being able to use Buddy Press as a feature would also be useful) We are looking for a design that engages the world with our work, inspires and is easy for us to manage. |
