Samsaimun, thanks for your quick reworks. I like the black & white version.

To be clear, I want the standalone logo as shown in draft #45 in addition to the logo/gplicity name combination as shown in draft #47. We’re also getting closer on the font, but we’re not quite there yet.

The font should be a bit thinner, and the rest of letters don’t really reflect the style of the first two… yet.

Not sure which way to go here other than whichever font is used, it must look symmetrical – right now they don’t. Especially the letter ‘c’ and I have no idea what to do with the letter ‘y’ other than saying I like the way it looks in draft #45 than in draft #47.

The last letter in the tag-line should not extend past the last letter in the name. It is okay if the tag line extents to the left past the first letter ‘g’ toward the logo.

Samsaimun, I like draft #45 the best so far; however, I'm not happy with the way the company name (and tag-line) looks.

The font should look crisp, clean and symmetrical; it is for the most part, but the 'c' should look like the top portion of the 'g', the letter spacing is a little too wide.

It would be interesting (and difficult?) to see the dots above both of the letter 'i' look circular like the that of the first two letters.

I guess I'm asking if you can continue the style and theme of the first two characters to the letters 'i', 'c' and 'y'.

Last but not least, can I see a black on white and white on black version as well?

Designers, please use (only)lower-case letters (gplicity); except the first letter in each word of the tag-line (Conanical Complexity)

Samsiamun, In draft #38, move the name and tag-line to the right of the logo like shown in draft #39 (keep the the isolated two-character logo in the lower right as-is).

Also, try to mimc the font you've created with the two-character logo, and the first letter in each word of the tag-line should be capitalized as in 'Canonical Complexity" and all grey (or silver).

The company name 'gplicity' should be lower case and the 'ascent' of each character above the baseline should be the same.

Samsiamun, in addition to what I (just) posted @ October 29, 2010 9:23 PM. What if, take the two characters shown in draft #39 and put them in the center of the swirl you show in draft #40, then extend the remainder of the name 'licity' (in brushed blue metal) out across the swirl to the left (all in lower case). In the way, the effect would be swirling into the letters, yet they form the name 'gplicity'.

Samsiamun, I like what you have done in your latest drafts #38, #39 & #40; especially the brushed metal look and you captured a new look to the lower-case 'g' & 'p'... I like the new font you've created with them. Is is possible to carry that new font theme to the rest of the name? Whereby the letter 'g' is in grey (the way you have it) and the rest of the name 'plicity' is in blue (the way you have it); all lower case. We can drop the tag-line (Canonical Complexity)... for now ;-) I like the abstract swirl in #40 as well -- hoping not to have to choose between the two; however, I really like the new 'g' & 'p' in #38 & #39.

tonynabih, stick with the theme shown in draft #31 & #33; actually, I'd like to see you combine them. Keep the color in #31. Now, I was pleased to see a hint of nature in the orb, because as I mentioned in my draft; I imitate behavior of natural systems in the software I write, so I liked the leafs. Yet, the behavior I mimic is more like ants, wasps and bees I still like the hint of nature. Draft #33 seems more flowing, open and simple; however, I like the color and reflection in #31

Samsiamun, I like draft #24 the best, it reflects the interweaving of concepts; however, living in florida, it does look like a hurricane... ;-) Still, the notion of an (endless) knot is appealing. I'd like to see more along these lines, and you gotta fix the font ;-) lower-case 'radio space'

Thanks to the both of you, as you can tell, I extented the contest three days because of your latest work. Thanks in advance

tonynabih, I like the reflection shown on the name in Draft #31. The Orb is interesting but the light effect on the top-left doesn't work for me. Also, the tag-line shouldn't extent past the name 'gplicity'; might be interesting to see it split on two lines, staggered with the first word left-alinged and the second word right-aligned

Samsaimun, I like how you made the design look like a lower-case 'g', but I like the orginal circle as well. Can you make it more 3D, possibly add some color?

samsaimun, I like where you are going; all letters should be lower case, and the tag-line should use the same font.

Also, draft #23, as shown in drafts #24, #25 and more importantly, in my original logo I uploaded, I'm trying to emphasise the 'g', as the name of the company is pronounced 'gee-plicity'...

Draft #24, can I see it using the 'Radio Space' font? Also, could I see some colored variations... I like the twisting visual. Also, what would it look like if the word 'gplicity' emitted from the center out towards the left rather than the image sitting on top

What's interesting is the effort to blend, merge, blur 'g' and 'p', but again, these should be lower case letters on the same line as the rest of the name. #12, #13 & #17 have interesting visuals. Drop the tag-line (Canonical Complexity). Keep all the letter on the same line (see my uploaded original logo). But again, think outside of just letters, think of an abstract object as well -- a ball wrapped by the letters 'g' & 'p' for example. Some type of mobius strip perhaps. We're nearing the end of the alloted time and I'm willing to extend the contest if I see some more variety. I recognize that you have put in a lot of time, in fact you are the only one to do so... I appreciate it, I hope to see some more variety and varied choices. So far its been minor variations on the same theme. Please show me something different as well. Make sense? I hope to see more before our time runs out ... :-(

i will do my best to give you what do you want to see ...
and i hope you like them .
    thanks at all . ;)

Can't say drafts #10, #11 & #12 are what I'm looking for... It doesn't knock my socks off; however, the letter 'g' and 'p' are starting to blend/blur together which is interesting. Still, they shouldn't be upper case, get rid of the 'swoosh' it hides the letters too much. Also, get rid of the 'tail' in the letter 'g' or at least, not letting it flip upwards. I must say I appreciate your continued efforts, I can only say I'll know it when I see, I just don't feel it yet... it doesn't jump out at me and protray the interweaving of concepts, but as I said, the latest are more interesting than the first ones... ;-)

tonynabih, thanks for your efforts, but drafts #6 - #9 are not what I'm looking for. More so, eliminate any shadowing and the tag line. Again, to be considered, I want to see abastract shapes that exude interweaving, molding, blending of ideas, concepts and methodologies and it would be nice if it hinted at the letters 'g' and 'p'. The script you are using for the logo is too fine, fancy, thin, etc...

Not keen on the 'tail' of the letter 'g' in drafts #3 #7; the letters 'g' & 'p' should/could be in the logo but not a requirement. Still, if they are, they shouldn't be actual letters; rather some abstract shape that suggests them. More so, I'd like to see version with and without the tag-line -- from what I read about logo do's and don'ts, including a tag-line is a don't

I have uploaded an image of another corporate logo 'Cybex', which hints toward 'one' direction; however, in my brief I stated that I'm looking for something that exudes interweaving, folding, etc... Also, the no symbols; rather abstract images, etc...

Draft #5 is getting 'closer'; however, the 'g' appears too disjoint (to me). Also, I'm rather than two characters that form a logo, I'm look for some type of abstract swoosh that manifests into what could be considered a 'g' and a 'p'... maybe even with some sort of twist or two in there

  • 27 octobre 2010 11:25 tonynabih

Tell me what is your opinion , I hope you like this drafts .

Tonynabih, first, thanks for your time; however I'm looking for something more abastract. Can't say I like symbols (like the box shown in draft #1 & #2). Also, I like the 'g' & 'p' to have similar strokes. That is, the 'g' with a loop at the bottom and the 'p' with a straight stroke does not appeal to me... think Radio Space (font).
