The following are suggestions to designers.
The stars in 383 are very good.
2. 383 if there was more room between the sun and G-SEC then it would be much easier to read. See competition.

The logo should be recognizable and the G-SEC should be legible from a moderate distance (think bumper sticker a car in front of you).
Fundamentally, this should be reducible to a two color Green on White emblem for stationary/letterhead. Ideas for this are appreciated.
The left side of the earth should be BLACK
Space should be BLACK.
The ocean should be BLUE.
We have decided not to use the recycle symbol as it's a bit to much of an overstatement.
We have decided not to incorporated the meridian lines at this juncture to maintain the realism.
The greater part of the North American continent should be ABOUT TO BE ILLUMINATED and the eastern side should (implied since the east coast will most likely not be visible should be experiencing the sunrise.
This emblem (at this stage) should look sophisticated.
The North Star should be bright.
The sunrise should be bright and should outline the crescent shape of the earth.
A slight orange tint in the sunrise would give a comforting appearance and sensation of warmth (refer to examples-will have 4-5 stars.

Pendulum is very enthusiastic about the evolution of this emblem and we are indeed looking forward to perfect logo to represent our vision.

Suggestions for 335
Use same frame color brightness and color brightness for the G-SEC (brighter green) as in 255.
Style of G-SEC font in 335 very, very good.
Sunrise crescent and illumination of the North American continent are also very, very good.
Orientation of earth is very good.
We would like to see a brighter North Star and/ or dimmed down adjacent stars.
The star pattern in 255 was closer.
We would like to see space be BLACK and the far left side of the earth be BLACK and fade into each other.
This will also give the blue water a more vivid impression.
Lets try to simplify our slogan (that’s on us).

To reiterate, with all these wonderful submissions we have decided to drop the recycle symbol.
Look for other 4-5 stars designs.

Sunrises of 168, 197, 334 is good. Going for the glowing half ring.

1. Try a version with a light orange hue as well (like 7stars #235)
2. Try to illuminate the earth a bit more. From far away the G-SEC logo appears like the red crescent in arab nations.
3. Please ensure North Amercia is actually being illuminated by the sunrise.
4. Please try a version with and without the meridian lines.
5. Please try an additional version and incorporate blue for the ocean.
6. With respect to the uploads our team submitted today, perhaps the colors are too bright. You number #255 is very clean, subtle and powerful.
7. Please try a version with the font 7stars used in #235. We're not certain what font it is, but it is consistent with the space age theme.
8. The shape and direction of the frame in #255 is very, very good.
9. #255 without the integrated recycle symbol is probably best.
10. Refe to the "Little Bad Girl" video for guidance on the sunrise.

Everyone lets try to have the style of the font in the slogan compliment the smooth, futuristic flowing feel of the design.
Depending on the ideas that come forward we will decide whether there should be a dash to separate G and SEC.

Imagine all the children (and adults) who always wanted to be astronauts helping achieve this mission with everything from shiny buttons, to mission patches for their jackets, bumper stickers, etc, Now that we have this concept it will definitely be more accessible to different audiences at different levels within in different social and economic sectors. We want this to be a beacon, a lighthouse in the storm for anyone who sees it.

We're extending the contest 3 more days and doubling the contest prize. Our "Emblem" has now increased itself to be something like a NASA Mission Patch. This will resonate well with both young as well as very mature audiences.

=National Security Through Energy Independence is the Policy Objective and has been characterized perfectly as"the next race to the moon".
Green Security Strategy was developed in consideration of this objective in the context of the desired policy, national interests, and the environment.
Holistic in conception, Green Security mimics symbiotic organic relationships and benefits as a result of the co-evolution of function that invariably occurs between organisms in regards to the security-energy experience.
The National Energy Security Strategy (NESS):
In the tradition of symbiotic mutualism, Green Security combines both US National Energy and Security Strategies to form the NESS nexus.
The NESS will provide direction and boundaries for subordinate strategies and planning and will seek a synergy and symmetry of objectives, concepts, and resources to increase the probability of policy success and the favorable consequences that follow from that success. It will be concerned with a hierarchy of objectives determined by the political purpose and it will provide a coherent blueprint to bridge the gap between the realities of today and a desired future.
Political purpose will be served through the accomplishment of subordinated global, intercontinental, and theater-wide; strategic operational, and tactical objectives in the Security Energy Complex.
The Security Energy Complex is a primary system that exists within the framework of the strategic environment. It consists of the internal and external context, conditions, relationships, trends, issues, threats, opportunities, interactions, and effects that influence the success of the state in relation to the physical world, other states and actors, chance, and the possible futures. This system functions as a self-organizing complex system and is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA).
Recognition of this emerging global security-energy paradigm is new in the American experience.
