  Designers: You're entries are great! Of course, the tough part is selecting only one. We've identified a couple of things that really work well for us, including the use of two colors in the word Firechops, the submission of color and black and white versions, and the use of strong, thick fonts. Again, thank you for your excellent work.

  Designers: Thank you for your excellent contributions to this project. I'm limiting my comments so all designers have the freedom to create their own unique design. Also, I am reluctant to ask for modifications, because I recognize the amount of time that is invested in this type of work. That being said, if you would like to submit variations, for example, reversing colors, shadows, etc., I would like to see them. All the work is good, and some will work best in our project. After discussing the choices with my peers, I see the following designs working best so far, 10, 4, 1, 6, 5. RedDeerRising: Thank you for your designs. The maltese cross is used extensively in our industry and may not set our site apart from others graphically. I'm continuing to solicit feedback on all the designs. To all of you, thank you again.

  A little additional information about Firechops. Chops is a slang term used to describe competency, skill, experience and earned position. For example, "He made his chops working in some of the busiest firehouses," "She's got the chops to serve in that position."
