Well we are getting down to the wire. We have settled on the "Biblically Grounded / Christ-centered / Missionally Minded" as the preferred tagline. That doesn't mean that those who used "Where faith meets life" are out of the running, it just means that we will ask the finalists to submit showing this tagline if they have not already. As you can see, we continue to gravitate toward clean simple lines and a fairly masculine feel. The next 24 hours should be great! Thanks to all for great work

As we begin weighing in on designs you will see that the trend is toward crisp clean lines and a business type tone, leaning toward masculine fonts and color schemes. Do not be afraid to venture outside of the red, black, gray, and white colors suggested. We will likely use the log throughout our branding strategy and having a sense of what it might look like in different colors might be helpful.

Keep moving designs to the masculine side of things - clean and crisp as well. Some designers may want to experiment with text only. The Bible really is our central graphical connection but we haven't found many book icons that feel that great - too often they just like junky clipart from the 70's. BUT if you can figure out a cool way to make a book "pop" - go for it! You are all so creative and responsive - thanks!

Thanks for the submissions - there are some great concepts. Please keep things on the masculine side and avoid script like fonts and keep the overall look "firm" and grounded to reflect our overall culture. We are conservative but not stuffy. Historic but not old-fashion.

Also, if you want to exclude the word "church" in the design that's ok. We often are simply called "Faith Bible" with the church part understood.

So we're going for a simple look that will be eventually incorporated into a new web design. If you've checked out our website it has a pretty dated look already. We are looking for something that is solid, striking and feels a bit "corporate" instead of the look we have now. Colors should be simple and on the bold side - wouldn't mind black and white, red, dark grey, etc.

We have considered two different tag lines. #1 "Where faith meets life" and #2 "Biblically Grounded/Christ-centered/Missionally Minded". It is not essential that either be part of the logo but if you want to give it a fly, have at it.

We're really excited about this and hope you are too!
