Expert Handknitter needs Logo for a Personal Brand

  Bridget Knits

  No

Bridget Knits is the personal brand for an expert Handknitter who teaches, designs, and writes about the art of hand knitting.

Bridget’s primary business is teaching and the logo will be used immediately for her website and business cards, but the successful design will also be used for photo watermarks, business-related flyers and garment tags.

Bridget’s work is of her own design and so the logo should be original and innovative.

The attributes we'd like to convey: fun, friendly, creative, original

Open to suggestion, prefer interesting colors, jewel tones (peacock, emerald, etc). No pink!

  not sure

We are looking for a colorful, clean design that will be used for print and web (business cards, stationery, facebook, company website, photo watermark, etc.). The successful design will translate well to black and white and have a transparent background. Please no designs based on existing templates, no clip art or stock images.

A creative and unusual use of yarn and / or knitting needles might work, but a quick google search for 'knitting logo' will show you that yarn and needles have been done to death. If your concept goes in this direction, it would have to be really unusual to be successful.

Logos that we really like include:

http://www.bahamas.com/
http://frankswim.com/

Both of these are clean and colorful and communicate something key to the business in a not-too-direct fashion.
