Develop advertising pieces with offers (coupon or written) for remarkable salon specializing in Tanning and Waxing Services. The Tanning business was established ten years ago, while the Waxing is just now being introduced. We moved to a new large and beautiful location last year. The Salon offers state of the art tanning services including $35,000 gorgeous Ergoline 1050 bed. We also offer UV-free tanning in the form of Mystic and Airbrush tanning (UV-free is small part of business). The new Waxing services will be an important revenue source and is to be featured in this advertisement on par with tanning services. The current Tanning business has a ratio of 60/40 women to men. I expect waxing services to be closer to perhaps 70/30 women to men. The décor is that of the finest spa … warm, spacious and grand. I have three sizes of print advertising lined up in Clipper and Shopper’s guide magazine. I have included some prior efforts that need improvement. I am competing against franchises in both the tanning and Waxing industries whose advertising campaigns are excellent. The message: we offer state of the art tanning and the finest in waxing services offering pain-free hard wax. The ad must appeal to women but not alienate the men. I want the ad to be warm, professional, perhaps a little sexy and have special appeal to women 24 to 50. Though Extraordinary in facilities and service, we are priced lower than the competition. I am open to advertising a “money back guarantee” to illustrate our confidence. You may want to use words introducing waxing as our newest service. Also consider using some other construct besides rectangular “coupons” for our offers such as use of bubbles or other construct to contain the offer and also may want to explain these offers as introductory. I’m open to suggestion. Because I have different size advertising pieces, the smaller ones will have to contain less information and fewer offers. I'm not a fan of cluttered ad. The image of the bikini girl on the beach has been used to in conjunction with the logo for two years and though I’d like to continue using her, I think we need to find a male model for tanning and use female for waxing. I’m struggling with this, so I may want to use the bikini girl and find a male waxing image that could work. The Waxing image that I like the best is the horizontal legs. You may consider including other tanning or spa images; consider models and pictures of your choice to illustrate the exceptional tanning and waxing services offered. Overall feel – I don’t want this ad to look like another cheap “shopper’s Guide” advertisement, but a high end Franchise-Class spa ad. We are no longer simply a terrific full service Tanning Salon, but also a first class waxing salon/spa. |
