A bittersweet decision - we are selecting Sakti as the winner and will spend the next three days working on edits. Congratulations Sakti!
What a whirlwind! What do you do when you have a group of the best designers you have ever come across all creating top notch designs? Celebrate and Cry at the same time! This has been a very difficult decision. We even had to print designs from our top five designers and had docs, nurses, caregivers, family and the elderly look at them and give their opinion. And, based on this, we were finally able to make our final decision.
I want to thank every one of you! Again, you are tops in your field. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Oy, yoy, yoy! I just got home from Kinkos where I printed several brochures and sheets, so I could touch them, feel them, open them and read them. You guys are just too good! We think we have made our decision. But, I really need to sleep on it, and have two meetings in the morning, as well. Thank you so much for all your hard efforts. I will be back on tomorrow afternoon, and will let you know our company decision. Thank you!
Hello everyone. I'm in awe at all the wonderful variations that are coming in. Everyone's work has been incredible and professional. I can't thank you enough. You are making my decision very tough. I'm going to go to a location where I can print some of these. My color calibration in my personal printer is very off (always is). And, I want to be able to print the brochures and 'feel' them. Not only do they have to look good on the screen, they are really primarily for print, and I want to be sure that the one we select "begs" to be read. I will write to each of you and give some feedback in a few hours. Thanks for your patience, Andrea
Hi everyone! I'm in awe at all your wonderful artistic designs. The administrator extended the project because they informed me that every page layout must be part of the final 'submission.' In other words, if there are 4 sheets (3 single-side and 1 double-sided) and 1 double-sided brochure, we need to see all of them as a single draft. You don't need to do this yet. But, please make sure you are submitting all four sheet drafts to be considered and the brochure, so that when the contest gets close to ending, you are ready to submit a final draft showing all four, and both sides of 2-sided sheets, all as one final pic to be selected. Thank you again to everyone!!!
Hi everyone! Wow, we have a lot more entries as of yesterday and this morning. How exciting! Keep up the great work. Here's some feedback (in order of submittal)...
@xbrush - I like #14 and 15. The bubble and colorful background give it interest, and I like the use of many pictures. I like a younger looking elderly person on the front, vs the older more frail one, as people don't ever see themselves like that, and may not pick up the brochure.
@Smartinfo - also nice and colorful. Same comment with initial picture.
@Litsavin - I like your inside, especially the font, interesting elements and lifestyle pictures. The outside would need to be changed, as we never use a partial logo (ie just the hand, or just the heart).
@Sakti - I love your brochure. Good layout, fonts, color and use of lifestyle pics. I would love to see the sheets, as well. We might need to raise the position of the front pic, as we will with many entries, because if they are in a brochure holder, the pic gets covered.
@Cubingbekletem - I love the color! That was a lot of options on your first submittals. I love the more vivid colors. The 4 sheets only need to be one-sided. Please make sure the 1-1.5" header is similar on all four sheets. They tell the doctor what page to pull out and look at. I would also like to see the tri-fold or z-fold brochure.
@Dannyamareen - You already know I love your brochure and sheets!!! I love the additional color that was added and the additional pic. I really liked the screened color on the top of the sheet. Can we carry that over to the brochure? Also, can we raise the logo and the pic on the front of the brochure and even enlarge the pic? As I mentioned above, these may end up in brochure holders, so the pic that gives such wonderful impact will be somewhat covered.
Thanks for your submissions! I am on my way to a meeting and will not be able to comment until later this evening (I am in AZ - it is 11:00am here). I will provide feedback to all. Just one comment, please be sure to keep our logo as a whole, please don't cut off the hand, as it becomes too close to a competitor's logo. Very nice work! Thank you.
BIG CLARIFICATION: Sorry, everyone. In an earlier post I mentioned the sizes of the four pocket folder inserts and inadvertently kept 'cutting down' the with, when it should have been the length. These sheets will sit portrait in the folder pockets. So, the sheet on the left will be 8.5x11, as well as will be the rear sheet on the right side. The middle sheet on the right side will be 1"-1.5" shorter the the rear right sheet (ie middle is 8.5x10 or 8.5x9.5). The shortest sheet or front sheet on the right will be 8.5x9 or 8.5x8". I apologize for the inconvenience. Please post or message me if you have any questions. Good luck!
@Danny - Very nice. I'll write a message with a few specifics.
@LogOHere - very nice first take on the info sheets. I like your combination of screens and wraps. The sheets are 4 independent pages (not an 11x17) and will be placed in a pocket folder. You grabbed too much information. I will clarify in a message to you.
I have uploaded some pics to work with. These are not set in stone! We welcome your ideas for pics.
Other items that must be on the new brochure is that we offer services from just a few hours to 24 hours per day, including live-in care. And, that we are available 24-hours per day and 7 days/week. Our tag line of "Choose confidently... choose Care With Confidence" can be on the front cover vs. the back. Please also list our call to action of a free consultation when listing our number. Phone number should be larger type and easier to read, and also be sure to list our website of www.CareWithConfidence.com. Thank you!
I hope everyone likes that I upped the ante. :-) The four info sheets should somewhat mirror the information on some of our web pages. For example, the top (or smallest) page could be titled, "The Care With Confidence Difference" and can have the information on the left side of the web page. A second info sheet page could be titled, "Our History" and could take info from the Our History web page. A third could be "Our Employees - Quality and Compassion" and can take info from the Our Employees web page. The fourth page which will sit on the left of the folder and probably be laminated might end up best as 2-sided and talk about our services and pricing on one side, and our guarantee and insurances on the other." Please feel free to submit questions or comments. Thank you so much and good luck!
I have uploaded our logo in ai format. I have also scanned in a copy of our WordPerfect template brochure (please don't laugh - that's why we need you). Our website address is http://carewithconfidence.com.
Please let me know if there are stock photos on our website you wish to use. We are open to other photos, as well. But, they should be primarily pics of the elderly being helped by someone, or spending time with someone younger (implied to be a caregiver, or a grandchild if of 'child' years). Photos without elderly should be of professional caregivers or business people. However, we are non-medical. So, pics with stethoscopes, medical machines, etc. are not appropriate. Thank you.
