Based on current submissions, it's clear that I really want the white, white, WHITE look so that the title really pops out. #12 and #13 got the idea of a flourish or swirl, but it's a bit too much. Just a hint....

I had problems creating the 3D version. Is there any easier way to do this, as I wasn't trained to create graphics in 3D like that. My problem is the distortion of the book outline, and the hard cover is colored oddly, do I change this as well?

Both #4 and #3 are really nice and on the right track.

I hope I'm not asking for two projects in mind, but I will need a 2-D version of the cover as well. It makes sense to me to start with the 3-D (as these designers have) and then, just make sure that at the end you can create a 2-D, (Amazon-like) cover as well.
