Eleven, yes! Feel free. Go crazy! That's exactly what I want to see.
And everyone else, please submit designs! just because I like two designers doesn't I have made a decision. I'm not making a decision until the contest ends.
I do understand what you want to achieve here
and you will be probably successful but even
more if your feedback was more like i.e.
'could you change colours in your logo', 'the
background is too blurry in my opinion'....
This is a good feedback. And if you have some
time to look into the project and leave maybe
few feedback if more designs arrive that
would be well appreciated.
And yes, there are designer who submit some
work 15mins before closing time - but then
you, as a project holder have about a week to
choose the winner.
I do not have any set dimensions yet, so just go with what seems reasonable and we will work around it. Just make a small box, maybe about the size of a condom box? haha. Just enough to put 5 or so packs in. I need to get the graphics made before we start tablet production so the dimensions will work around your design. I might ask and pay extra for the winning design to make a "party pack" for 50 foil packets, but that is unnecessary at the moment.
As to the comments on other peoples work, if I was 100% happy with anyones design I would have finalized it already. I have not done that.
There is a difference between design number 1 and design number 2. Design number 1 wasn't at all what I wanted. Designer number 2 was much closer. My comment was so future designers don't waste there time making something similar to 1 for that is not what I want.
This is my way of providing feedback. No one gets "special treatment" for submitting their design first. As I said in the description, sell me the product. That's what I care about. Someone who submits something 15 minutes before the deadline has just as good of a shot as anyone else for I won't finalize anything until the contest is over. If you submit your work early, you get the benefit of me making suggestions. A "excellent work" means just that. I like his work. I like a lot of peoples work, you guys are all really talented and that's why I'm having a "contest". I expect to have multiple designs I really like, and I hope it's a tough decision.
If I wanted one designer to make something, I know a few graphic designers, that's not what I want. This is a product that needs to capture peoples attention so I want a diverse array of designs to choose from.
OKAY. We may sell you your product, I need to lower acids in my stomach myself lol - Could you please let me know exactly how the tablets look like and what size of boxes would you like to sell them in. (For example, Nurofen Plus, an excellent design and potentially very bad drug but - same box, 3 different types - 12, 24 and (at least in the UK) 32 tablets. Only the width is changed between 32 and 24/12. With these information I can move on with my own concept as I've got one or two.
TTeddy is right. We all value our time and by saying 'an excellent job' you say - I want your design maybe a bit changes made to it. It's not a big thing to do such a design - it even reminds me of some other packs... $310 for it is really nothing as normal agency for one concept would have charge minimum of $700 as I worked in the industry. I may do something in my free time though - I am doing my second degree at the moment and it would actually help me both ways. matt
Designers, I have not selected any candidate. My comment to Eleven was a general comment referring to that being the style I'm looking for, as opposed to the first submitted design.
I don't necessarily like the stomach design. It just doesn't seem like it is showing the drug working if that makes since. And can you list "Protects Stomach" first followed by "Neutralizes Acid"
9bites, this isn't a business card. A "logo" isn't as important per say as it isn't the focus of the project.
I imagine, (though don't hold me to this, I'm not sure how it looks) something like "Acidase" in the top left/center of the package and a cartoon of a body with acidase lining his stomach on the right side. And below "Acidase" spanning the package and in the center/left "Nausea Prevention for Alcohol Use" and whatever else looks good.
It makes no sense and is unnecessarily expensive to pay someone to design a logo, then force a graphic designer to use someone else's logo to design a package and to force another designer to design a website based on around two other designers "vision".
I don't want to impose requirements or suggestions because I'm not an artist, I'm a business man. I don't want to tell you how to do your job, only give you suggestions on things I think might do well. Often the person who listens to my requirements/suggestions the most strictly is not the person that wins my contents, but the person who had their own creative vision and went with it.
And I chose 310 because I suspect someone who likes the idea of this contest and has a vision could care less whether the prize is 200 or 400. In addition, the winner has first dibs on our 6 other products, for the same fee. The purpose of this contest is to find who we think can best design packages.
And wmakos, your icon was a little to unprofessional/busy. I don't mind busy per say, though the crescent didn't really relate to "Acidase" at all and the A just didn't strike me as something I would see on the shelf at a drug store.
The icon isn't the "focus" per say so much as the overall feel and and sell of the product.
Think of labels like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, you don't really think of their logo, just the name. This isn't the case with car logos, like Toyota, Ford, etc... but for "drugs" you want to convey a different message. One of safety and effectiveness, not necessarily brand.
So basically for $310 You not only want a package design, but a logo since you have not uploaded one. And on top of that, you don't even know what you want...colors,etc? Good luck PH

So far it's between you and Eleven. I think I'll put a vote on facebook and have my potential customers decide.
Supposingly they are still not available ...

Prize upgraded.
Still haven't seen something with quite the "wow factor" that I'm looking for.

Please see EleVen's designs for what I mean.
There is no "loperamide" A D in the drug.
Thank you for your extensive replay.

It is not profitable to sell jars of tablets like tums, however, thus:
We want to put two of the tablets in one of these foil packs:

And sell 5 foil packs per box.

Ok. this draft was created for image representation.
I'm trying to understand what kind of icons you like.
Thanks
