Your logo will represent the new domain extension specifically for Johannesburg called .joburg. Joburg is the largest city in South Africa, Joburg is also the wealthiest and, without doubt, the economic powerhouse of Africa. The Joburg inner city, abandoned by an exodus of big business that transferred to Sandton and, until recently, avoided by all except die-hard tourists, is undergoing a complete regeneration. The area close to City Hall and Newtown Cultural Precinct, which has completely transformed the Market Theatre and surrounds, now forms the heart of urban revival, and the Joburg inner city remains the largest employment centre in South Africa. The city is the source of a large-scale gold and diamond trade, due to its location on the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills. Joburg is served by O.R. Tambo International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Africa and a gateway for international air travel to and from the rest of Southern Africa. |

Nelson Mandela bridge is an iconic landmark in Johannesburg, as is the Johannesburg skyline with the Telkom Joburg Tower (see here http://tinyurl.com/c3usd8p) We would like the bridge to make up j and the b (of Joburg) will be made up of the pillars of the bridge with everything else (skyline) in between or as you can suggest from a creative point of view. |
