A few notes how the winner was chosen:
1. The logo truly communicates the core message of what CYBERTECNIA is all about.
2. Uniqueness and creativity
3. Not the initial idea, but it developed into a concept that a lot of voter really like.
4. Logo was selected more on the idea rather than its graphical design. That can always be fixed, but the concept is there.
5. Text was unique, there was an extra thought there, according to voters.
6. According to voters, it leaves no room to misunderstand what CYBERTECNIA does.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: ALZAM, AEREY AND KHANA WHO CREATED VARIATIONS AND SPARKED A LOT EMOTIONS AMONGST VOTERS, WHO ENJOYED TO SEE THEIR CHANGES AND COMMITMENT TO WIN THE CONTEST. TO ALL OF US, THE ARE ALSO WINNERS. THANKS AGAIN TO EACH OF THE DESIGNERS THAT PARTICPATED.
PROJECT UPDATE: DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS, THIS PROJECT´S END DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED 3 MORE DAYS IN ORDER TO COLLECT VALUABLE FEEDBACK FROM VOTERS, PROVIDE FEEDBACK TO DESIGNERS AND PICK THE FINALISTS. THANK YOU TO ALL DESIGNERS WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED. YOU HAVE MADE THIS CONTEST, A VERY SPECIAL ONE. THANKS AGAIN.
PROJECT UPDATE:
Drafts are currently been voted on and will be providing the finalists before final changes are requested to select the winner. THANK YOU to ALL of designer for such a wonderful array of ideas. It has not been easy to select a particular design, but we will submit the top 5 designs tomorrow before a final desicion is reached. You are welcome to submit any other ideas, until the final day of the contest. Again, thanks to all.
IMPORTANT COMMENTS TO DESIGNERS (UPDATE)
1. Use grey for the tagline
2. Use the appropriate colors (blue/orange) to be compared fairly against other designs (see brief)
3. Please include a negative view (reverse) of your draft. It will help to evaluate logos on their true potential to be not just colorful and great looking but highly functional when used in black and white. See draft 91 or 132 for a great example.
4.By Friday I will release a poll questionnaire for over 300 people to vote and rank the runner up designs. So a true feedback on the impact of your designs will be collected and shared with all of you.
5. By Sunday, I will have a list of the finalists for the final round where you can make final tweaks, before final selection of the winnger.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH AN AMAZING DISPLAY OF TALENT AND CREATIVITY. LOOKING FORWARD TO RECEIVE MORE DRAFTS DURING THIS WEEK. THANKS AGAIN.
#112 and #113: Not going in the direction of the project. Colors and overall design. Please see brief for detailed information about colors and overall idea. You are welcome to submit other concepts. Thank you.
#110: The idea of an arrow looks nice. However the logo quality is not crisp. The ball in the center could be replaced with another idea...but the arrow idea..could be worked on.. thank you.
#101 and #102: Different again. Thanks for submitting :) Working with white space can be tricky as the shapes formed with the elements may create other forms that do not translate or transmit the intended message. #102 for example draws attention to the T (that may give the impression it is a building :) - but I see #101 works on both letters. I've rated them - you are welcome to submit other drafts.
A NOTE TO ALL DESIGNERS:
PLEASE USE GREY AS THE COLOR OF THE TAGLINE. All DRAFTS WILL DEFINITELY LOOK BETTER BY DOING SO, AS THIS WILL BE THE FINAL COLOR (MORE LIKELY), (just a suggestion)! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU TO MAKE THIS PROJECT SO INTERESTING. THERE IS A TREMENDOUS CREATIVE ENERGY DISPLAYED BY ALL YOUR DRAFTS. THANKS FOR THE CONTINUING EFFORTS AND SUBMISSIONS.
#107 and #108: This logo has a great potential with some changes:
1. I definitely think that prolonging the ends of the C almost to get it closer to the T horizontal stroke would close the idea even better.
2. Eliminating the "white fade or shadow" effect over the text and symbol will brig up the colors and make it clearer.
3. #107 even looks cleaner..try not having border around the symbol (the side).
4. Position the logo on top the text and choose a better font (see font in other drafts..there are a lot of great selection of fonts)
5. Make the tagline grey
6. Maybe a version of a tilted "coin" or just leaning backwards..see #91 would give more perspective to its full potential.
I am liking this :)
#99: This logo has a great potential. Adding light 3D effects adds character to it. Suggestions:
1. I definitely think that prolonging the ends of the C almost to get it closer to the T horizontal stroke would close the idea even better.
2. Eliminating the "white fade or shadow" effect over the text and symbol will brig up the colors and make it clearer.
#96 and #97: Another different concept. I like it. Smooth and clean. Light 3D effects and artistic. Nice font. It does look elegant! When looking at the symbol, I am drawn to the center of it and cannot make anything of that shape..meaning the center formed but the 2 letters...it cries for attention but the white space does not convey a specific message...but it is a really nice design. Wouldn't it look a lot more interesting if the stroke of the T would be prolonged to the left almost touching the C? That may eat up some of the big white space in the middle. Great design.
#92,#93,#94,#95 and #98: A great number of variations. They let me see the full potential of these designs. It helps to evaluate all the possibilities and how flexible the monogram is. I've rated them as to what monogram looks better. How else could this symbol be improved? :)
#91: Completely different desing! Wonderful! Clean, elegant and it looks great in black and white - thank you for transmitting this. It helps to understand the potential and impact of this logo. I like the design since it is a news perspective...circular but not tilted..just leaning backwards...it looks VERY, VERY nice :) definitely NICE! A few suggestions:
1. Where the blue meets the orange, it would be great if there is not such a drastic cut making it a smoother transition to keep the smooth design of the symbol.
2. I really like the font. It adds to the design, but I am wondering if a circular font would be a better match.
3. How about trying the same effect and design on a squared symbol/monogram based on the shape of the C of the current font you have used.
4. Maybe a flat version of it (not 3D, without a side on the symbol or shadow) may give a different perspective of this wonderful design.
Thanks for designing such a unique concept. I really like it.
#89 and #90: Great variation of the original design. I was looking #89 at the bottom right and liked the white space effect of this design. I try really hard to see if in this design the white space creates some type of form that conveys the intended message. The design does look a lot better now!
#88: It looks a lot better on top of the text. Still it looks too dark when blue meets orange. Probably using white space would lighten it up and easily make it look different and would integrate better with such a nice and interesting font.
#87: Great font...but the monogram mixes both colors and they cancel each other out without white space incorporated in the design. The font is square-based, it looks rectangular but monogram is circular... making the font outline match the monogram shape will make it look better. Also refer to the brief for the right colors.
#83, #84 y #85 Nice idea! Especially #85 which incorporates both circles. It looks more compeling! I wonder if 85 would look even better with some 3D effects applied in other drafts?
#81 and #82: Another wonderful variation but this time using a square! Great! I even like how the C and T combination changes to convey even a stronger message as the arrow transmits "direction" - that's what I am looking for. A great design, clean, crisp, using white space, a little 3d for effect (if needed to enhance it) and somehow delivering the intended message. #81 may be too skewed - the shape is not that uniform, but #82 looks great. However, in this squared design the fonts are circular, and probably using Microgramma Bold Ext, Euro or similar font would enhance this variation. Tagline grey? Thanks again for great work.
#79: And yet another great variation of the same concept. I like the fact that the circle is completely closed, it adds so much to it and since the C and T are already incorporated inside, the message is still the same. One important change that you may have overlooked is that the inner C should be blue to keep it consistent with text combination. Also using grey in the tagline maybe better and also for the side of the coin? Your call. Thanks for your drafts. I enjoy to see your high quality changes :)
