These are great and this has been a very successful post for me. Thanks again all.
Sometimes its hard to know what you want until you see it. The abstract nature of the use of the chessboard in #97 and #67 is appealing as it may make it more difficult to copy.
@scancorp , i'ved made some tweaking for #58, and you can now pick from a large amount of fonts tipe and colours (#73, #74, #75, #76, #77). I'm also curios about your opinion on #78.
Thx in advance for feedback,Rtklancelot.
@Lyrise, i'm glad to see that my designs are such an inspiration to you, see #70
Overall comment is that the designs are looking good and arevery close to what we were looking for. Thankyou all for your contributions.
If I was more creative, I would be able to give specific requests for changes. As I'm not that smart, will just comment on some of the appealing points from recent posts:
#58 I think the bottom proposal looks good and is the best of your suggestions. I like the way the knight is encapsualted within the box. The version above is a little too busy wrt colours. Probably worth playing with colours (eg purple?) and font style.
#57 is very interesting and looks professional. Ky comment is that it looks greyed out when small (ie perhaps not sufficient contrast). When it's enlarged it does look sharp and looks good.
#48 I preferred your earlier post. The background looks good and the tagline is great but the font and shadow effect isnt as good as earlier. "Corp" can be a smaller font, I dont think looks as good when compressed.
Thanks again, these are all great contributions and hopefully my feedback is useful.
Lyrise and Aero, I do think we need some form of chess board even if it is just putting a background under each of the letters of "SCAN" and "Corp" or as a background per Brooksmedia #9
"Scan" is more prominent than "Corp"
Masculine chess knight peice preferable to stylised horse.
Tunuman, interesting but I don't like the font - it is a little cartoon like, am after a professional but stylish image.
Couple of comments:
1) "Corp" is less important than "Scan" and if easier and more appealing, you can make the "Corp" different colour/font.
2) The use of horse is good where the horse is clearly a chess knight peice
3) I realise the chess theme promotes black and white but if there are colour alternatives that still work, that would be appealing.
Thanks for the submissions to date.
Some feedback to assist: I do like the use of darker background to make the logo stand out, so RtkLancelot #7 looks good.
The use of black and white is very practical but it may look better with some colour and perhaps more stylised moto (such as cursive).
I'm looking for sophistication and something very contemporary.
I appreciate the submissions and hope this helps.
