What a wonderful experience and quite honestly, one that exceeded my expectations.

A huge thank you to every designer who submitted work for my consideration - 281 drafts! I feel I've been spoiled rotten and would definitely recommend this process to friends and colleagues.

I've previously tried an internet based design service and graphic design company in the UK and neither has been able to come up with a design that I felt was right for my business. I now have the pleasure of choosing a winning design from an incredibly strong short-list. Congratulations to the winner! And thank you for creating the identity that my photography business has been needing.

Some amazing work - I'm thrilled and humbled!

My thought process at the moment is deciding which direction to take. My short-list contains quite a variety of design. I love the really understated logo's but I'm also aware that I need some element of design that I can use on it's own to signify my brand. I very much like the idea of this symbol containing my initials.

I'll be honest and say that there are several designs that you wonderful folks have submitted that I'd be delighted with if I had to choose right now. I'll go through the logos and begin eliminating designs that absolutely aren't right for me to make my options a little clearer to look through.

    Gratefully,

    Joel.

Again, I'm overwhelmed by your talent - thank you everyone for your designs.

Simple is definitely the way to go for me - nothing too cluttered or busy.

I really appreciate you showing how the logo would look black & white.

Possibly, a slightly 'scruffier' design might be interesting. I find that the neater/sharper the logo, the more corporate it begins to feel. It's a balancing act though - I want to look professional and creative.

I'm racking my brains for something useful to contribute!

    Attention Designers!!

MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

    Thanks,

    MB/LDG/LS Team

Moments after I click 'post comment' I receive a new submission which contradicts what I said about my name in script! Maybe it's the lower case.. I'm not sure.. but thank you #80! I clearly don't know my own mind :)

Thank you again for all your creative work!

I definitely prefer "Joel Penn" written in a script (though not too flourishy!). I think it looks more personable and less corporate which I'm eager to avoid.

Probably old-fashioned of me but I'm not a fan of bold/bright/shiny colours in the logo.

I love the more abstract lens designs. My concern about the more literal camera/lens drawings is that I'll look like a lot of other photography logos.

I'm so excited by this process - if I can think of anything else to say that might be useful I'll be sure to add to this.

    Thank you so much.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful designs. I honestly appreciate all your time and trouble.

At this early stage I am not 100% sure what I am looking for and your artwork is really helping me to identify what I do and do not like.

    Thank you again!

    Kind regards,

    Joel.
