    We have re-opened this contest in the quest for more ideas..

    As a reminder, we are looking for a strong, masculine logo that will not let us be mistaken with a children's company. We make heavy action movies or movies that focus on the flawed characteristics in all of us, even our heroes. That is why our name is ironic.

    We would like to have symbol for a company that can be used with or without the title. Something that emphasizes the unicorn in a strong and forceful image and incorporates our use of rainbows. We do not need an actual image of a rainbow. We also prefer the colors to be muted and not ones that jump right out and hit you in the face. Strong but classical font will also catch our eyes.

    We would also love to be able to see the logos in both black and white if possible to see how it would play on both letterhead and movie credits.

    Very strong submissions coming in. This is becoming a very tough decision for us, and for that we thank you. I will say, that as everything comes in, we probably like the idea of the logo being on the left of the lettering as that would fit very smoothly with business cards and letterhead. The letting does not need to be the same size as the logo and you can play around with however you want to place it or offset it.

    Raster based design will not be accepted as winner, so you all are advised to submit only vector based designs.

    Please remember that the logo is intended to be strong and masculine as we are a movie company that specializes in action, heavy drama and deeply flawed anti-heroes. Rainbows and Unicorns is an ironic name to that end.

    Although it is not a requirement, we would be happy if found a symbol for the company that could instantly identify us if, at some point, we didn't have the wording there (Right now we need the wording for brand recognition). Such as the unicorn profile in #5 if someone saw it without the writing somewhere.

    Feel free to have fun with the irony of the name. We are.

    Very good designs so far. We definitely like the clean, simple designs that are coming in. As we delve farther into the logo we feel that abstract designs are a nice concept as well. We like the idea of the unicorn being much more the star of the show than the rainbow. Think of the rainbow colors as an accent to a strong unicorn design or profile. I also know we said earth tones but just wanted to clarify as all the colors of the rainbow are acceptable, just in muted tones that don't pop right out. Technically a semantic argument could be made for purple being an earth tone thanks to the lyric "purple mountain majesty" but again just wanted to clarify that purple is perfectly acceptable to represent the whole spectrum of the rainbow.

    We like the simple elegance of design #10 and #7 & 8, but also like the cheekiness of the guitar in #5 as a wink to our irony in choosing rainbows and unicorns.
