Really get creative. I'm looking for totally new designs for this last round. Still with the dark blue and gold color scheme. But less serious and abstract and more whimsical. Could I see some interesting fonts too? Something clearly readable, but attention grabbing.
I've decided to extend the contest. I'm still looking for my perfect logo. Let's try something less serious. Take a look at the image I uploaded to my existing website under services.

I do not own the rights to it, so it would need to be altered and the accent color changed to match the blue and gold scheme.
Thanks for making my decision making process a tough one. The designs are definitely getting better/closer to what I'm looking for. I'm liking this direction of a student reaching for a star/success.
A few last comments before the contest closes tomorrow.
1) I think I've decided on a blue and gold color scheme. The colors in #69 are near perfect. #46 is pretty close too.
2) I'm also leaning toward more simple designs. A few abstract marks are OK. But too much isn't appealing to me. #64, #71, #80 are a bit busy.
3) I also like the font #25 uses. But make sure that it's evident that the R and B in RaeBrown are larger.
4) Most of my initial client contact comes from Mothers. Make sure the design isn't to masculine.
5) Can any one show me a logo that blends with the company name? #3 is the only one so far that attempts blends the graphic with the text....
I'm loving the new ideas. I really like what #20 did with the wording on "Consulting". The lines on either side help place the emphasis on RaeBrown and the tagline.
I also like that #13 and #29 are such an accurate depiction of the business mission. #13 students succeeding, and #29 nurturing student development.
About using the letter R in the logo, even though RaeBrown is one word. The business acronym is really RBC. Maybe I could see a few designs incorporating all 3 letters? But we'd have to be careful it doesn't get too busy.
Let's get creative with color. I do like the blue green combination, but I'd like to see some other options. Maybe something with yellow? Or red and blue? IDK... You all are the experts :-)
Second, I am leaning towards a design with the logo more integrated into the company name. This is why I rated #8 so low. I don't like that the logo stands apart so much from the company name.
Also, I do like what number #7 did with making an "R". Could I see some ideas that build on that and maybe use some of the letters in the business name to create the logo. Like put the motor board on a letter... something like that?
Lastly, don't forget to include the tagline (#7) and help me to see what it would look like b/w (Thanks #7)

About using the letter R in the logo, even though RaeBrown is one word. The business acronym is really RBC. Maybe I could see a few designs incorporating all 3 letters? But we'd have to be careful it doesn't get too busy.
Thanks again all and Happy Thanksgiving :-)
