Plasma (the 4th state of matter) is a high-energy, electrically charged mixture of free-moving electrons and ions. Lightning bolts, for example, are a visible manifestation of plasma. Low temperature, or “cold”, plasma can be created by applying an electrical charge to an inert gas. Cold plasma is highly biochemically reactive, a unique and beneficial quality, but was previously difficult to generate, control, and utilize. Cold Plasma Medical Technologies, Inc. (“CPMT”) has solved this challenge. The company has been issued US Patent for a novel biomedical device and method for generating a complex, harmonic (multi-frequency) cold plasma technology.
CPMT is pioneering the use of cold plasma in medicine, one of the most important therapeutic medical advances in recent years. The company’s Harmonic Cold Plasma Technology can eradicate antibiotic resistant bacteria, fungi, and viruses related to infections in wounds, burns, and surgical sites. It also accelerates the body’s healing capabilities at the cellular level, reducing the length of time it takes for a wound to heal, making it ideal for the treatment of difficult-to heal wounds such as diabetic ulcers. Further, it has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of various forms of cancer.

CPMT’s current business plan is to target wound care applications (i.e., trauma, surgical, recalcitrant, antibiotic resistant, burns, diabetic ulcers, etc.) beginning with the US market, then pursuing the European, Asian, and Latin American markets.

The plasma itself is administered through a device that looks like a lazer gun. It is important to note that when the cold plasma is administered, it emits a purple glow.
