Dear design consultants. I believe that I have shared my thoughts with each of you concerning your wonderful and out the box designs. But just in case (and without divulging any secrets) I would like to reiterate some ideas.
Don't feel constrained to use the standard imagery for a Christian church. While a cross and dove and the like are wonderful, they don't necessarily need to find their way into the graphic image. Having said that, if it "flows" and "fits" that nice, too. Also, I prefer not having a graphic bounded in a box or circle. Like the McDonald's logo, it should be able to stand alone and (over time) be an identifiable image.
Keep in mind what Sacramento, California is known for: the State Capitol, the Tower Bridge and Sacramento River.
On the text, sans serif is where I'd like to go. Clean and contemporary (Gotham, Futura, Optima?)
Thanks again for all that you have done, are doing and will do! What a talented group of designers.
