I've also updated a lot of the star ratings, now that I've realized I'm really trying to simplify the design and add a bit of professionalism, marketing to both genders.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted so far! I now am able to offer a clearer description of what I'm looking for.
1. I will be veiling the project when there are 3 days remaining.
2. I would like a single, simple image. Next to it I would like "Smiles By Rosie" in a simple small caps font in BLACK, either serif or sans (haven't decided on that yet). Please do not put my tagline or any other text into the name.
3. Please do not incorporate the image into the name, have varying fonts in the name, or color the letters.
4. Please read the brief carefully.
5. It is important that I attract both male and female patients.
Also, I think I like the idea of an image next to a simple-font Smiles By Rosie. I find the designs where the images are part of the title a bit busy and less professional.
That's a very valid point, and I do appreciate what you're saying. I might be going against the culture with logo contests, but I feel strongly towards the opposite.
I hope that designers use my star rating to get an idea of what I'm looking for, and I'd LIKE them to use that for inspiration. If someone thinks of an idea that I like and I just want some small changes, I will tell him or her. Once other artists see what I like and are able to extrapolate on that using their own creativity, I think that breeds healthy competition. I would not award the prize to someone that mimics another's design closely, and I respect artistic integrity. I'd simply ask the original designer to modify.
I will absolutely give artistic credit where it is due. But creating images and me evaluating them is the best way to move towards the look I'm going for. This is how it happens in writing and music composition as well. But to each her own!
I received several requests to veil the project. Given, this is my first time with MycroBurst, but I feel that it's important for everyone to see my star ratings so that designers can have an idea of what I'm looking for.

Just a note:
1. I'm a general dentist so no braces, please
2. Please no faces or smiles inside the teeth, if you use teeth
3. Read the rest of my comments carefully. Looking for black small caps for the text.
Thanks!

PLEASE JUST HAVE "SMILES BY ROSIE"; tagline or other words will not be included in logo.
Thank you all for your attention and creativity!! Looking good so far!

#42, can you make the tooth "M" look more like an M? As it is, it could look like an N or H. Also, can I see it without the rose on the I?

Two big points:
1. I'm going for elegant, professional, and relaxing, NOT cutesy.
2. Lilac and purple should be the main color, seconded by sage green and blues and yellows after.
TheCreative, I love your idea of a rose with tooth roots!
Thanks to everyone!!
