Michael Frye Photography specializes in fine art landscape photography, photo education, print sales, and book publishing. My portfolio is varied, including classic lanscapes, surreal nighttime images, intimate details of nature, and delicate high-key images. We like the basic idea of our current logo. (View it at www.michaelfrye.com.) The sun, moon, and star symbols suggest light, nature, and the variety of my work (night and day, etc.) But the points (sun rays) on the current logo are too hard - not welcoming and inviting. And the logo does not fit easily into a horizontal banner for the web site. We'd be happy with a redesign of the current logo, using the same sun, moon, and stars idea, but softer, and something that fits better into a web site banner. But we're also open to something completely different. We're happy with the current cobalt and golden-yellow color scheme for the logo, but again would be open to something different (except maybe red, unless it was a tiny accent). Ideally the colors would work with a dark gray background on a portfolio web page, as well as a lighter background for text-heavy pages. We're thinking of a symbol, plus the text "Michael Frye Photography." "Michael Frye" should be fairly prominent; "Photography" could be smaller. |
