We've played around with the idea of a Rook (Chess piece) to communicate the strategic element. Since the Capitol dome is typical, we thought that there is perhaps a way to combine the images--the rook inside the dome, for example. A third though is placing a circle or circular image behind (perhaps to one side) of the text "Capitol Insight" with the circular image having a quality that communicates above values or feeling. We have also discussed perhaps creating three rounded squares--small web 2.0 symbols (like what is used on websites to identify RSS feeds, Facebook, twitter, etc.) that each would have its own symbol, one could be the dome, the other the rook, and the third either a torch (as in the Statue of Liberty) or something else that communicates 'insight' or action. The names of the firm could be used above or to the side of these symbols in this scenario. |
