I think I had posted that comment on #39 feathers before draft #42 showed up. I think if you move the ribbon and feathers both down the amount of the increase in ribbon size it would look better. Just that little bit of ribbon width "squashes" the circle a little and changes the feel. Everything else looks great.

LOL Ms. Wright, I didn't change the feathers from #39 to #42. Perhaps they appear different because the ribbon is slightly larger to accomodate a larger text?

Perhaps if you print them out and lay them side by side you could pinpoint the final touches?

Love the feathers in #39 - totally nailed the dream catcher feel.

I have a real dilemma now. The last 4 are all so great that it will be tough to decide. I think #39 is fabulous and very close to my original vision. Painted Dreams should be bigger, though, even if horsemanship has to be smaller. #41 on the left using pink for horsemanship is also dynamite. I do need to discuss with a couple of advisers on the tail/no tail with this design before finalizing, though. The dilemma is that I like each design for different reasons. From #41 (or #40) on the left will make a good logo when it needs to be more square and it looks a little more business/corporate professional, but #39 fits my original vision and will look good on things that will allow a more vertical logo and is more friendly/personal yet still professional. So, can I pick two and pay twice? I am really in love with them both.

All of the flowing script fonts I have do not look good when arched. The descenders come down so far that the arch is to far away from the leather web.
I have used a calligraphy font in entry #40.

#37 Yes, try a different style font for Riding in Harmony, too. I like a flowing script as long as it is clearly legible.

Can you guarantee this contest with Mycroburst and possibly add some extra bucks to it?

Thanks for the feedback! I'll have something for you a little later tonite.

#37 Try Riding in Harmony in the color of the webbing or the turquoise of the beads. Try adding a few pink beads. Try horsemanship in both turquoise/color of webbing and in pink.
Tad longer leathers on feathers maybe? Center feather tied lower on the center leather. Getting very close.

The horse looks cool. Turned out better than I had imagined.

Did you want me to change the font for "Riding in Harmony"?

#37 That's the horse! Love the horse.

Plan to extend this project after the holiday weekend.

#36 name in all solid white in the font of #34 OR try a white ribbon with purple letters maybe?

#36 the more I look at these, the more I like the width the outside middle feathers give it this way, but perhaps tie on a little above the center feather but the same leather? Or not so symmetrical in their flow? or less triagular in the position? Something's not quite right, but it does give it something...

#36 I do like seeing some tail on the horse, might even have it flowing out behind the dc

What I really want would be:
    #30 feathers
#33 horse with its head turned like the horse in #30
#33 dream catcher except the red beads would be purple (or turquoise) and no background color
#17 mane (or #34 mane) on #30 horse if not using #33 horse
#35 Riding in Harmony size and color with font in #34 with the loopy H
#34 Painted Dreams Horsemanship but horsemanship color more to the green side of turquoise/teal (like the beads on the feathers)
#33 Ribbon with text and all as it is OR Combine elements of different ribbons:
#34 but arced one way or the other
#30 but showing more backside dark like in #34, arced down like #33
    #30 with shading like #23

All of the designs have been so good it is difficult to pin it down. Especially with the additional takes on it. They are all so good. I'd like to see the next drafts also in black and white to see how they will appear in monochrome. Thank you for all the work.

Yeah, I think I've spent my wad on this one.
The last set of requested changes would be like creating a whole new design.
Thanks lj for all the great feedback though!

sharl, good luck to you! You have put so much work into your designs. Feel free to use any of my design elements if requested by the Project Holder. Hope you win.

#34: I like that font for the name; the blue text is too blue, a color closer to the lighter teal of the feathers and webbing in 33 but maybe not quite as green - more teal/turquoise than blue; the beads on the feathers are more turquoise than the beads on the webbing, which are more blue like the text; I like the font for the tagline, too but the thickness here makes it less readable, maybe being a little larger would help, or thinner; interesting flow in the ribbon and at first it looks nice, but don't want the name having that much movement, downward arc and some shading like 23.

#33: I like the way the name pops with that ribbon, what if it arced the other way; I like this horse, but would like him to face in more like #30; I like the interior webbing of this dream catcher except for the color of the beads.

#30: I like these feathers; I would like the extra feathers in the center to flow or flip away from the center feather, but if that doesn't work I like these best of all; I like the circle of this dream catcher best but maybe not quite as thick/heavy.

Love the way the horse is running through in #32 and like the paint markings on this one. Head is a little small though, needs more mane flowing with head not as high, and make the paint markings white.

Also like the shading in the webbing and the leather wrapped look.

Try a script for Riding in Harmony and slightly larger. Try a different color. I don't like that shade of turquoise/teal/blue-green. Purple is a key color to include.

#30,#31 getting close with the new feathers and the horses, which I'm mulling over the differences in the horses.

Maybe put some "flow" in the extra new middle feathers... not quite as tight to their main feather?

Try the font from #26 in purple or shaded/shadowed/outlined purple with the "horsemanship" being turquoise.

Leave off "Resistance Free" and make "Riding in Harmony" bigger and above like the name was in previous drafts (not as big, though, as those; not as big as the name).

Also try one with the ribbon arced the other way again.

Also like to see beadwork on the leathers from which the feathers hang. (the feathers are how the good dreams slide down to the sleeper)
