This logo is for a coffee shop that serves espresso-based drinks. It needs to be adequate for use on signs, coffee mugs, to-go coffee cups, business cards, brochures, and other various uses. Kinkajou Coffee includes drive-thru locations AND traditional coffee house type locations. The coffee house locations attract college students who may spend hours in the shop studying or hanging out, as well as business people conducting informal meetings, book club groups/Bible studies, etc... ***Our outdoor sign is our most important piece of marketing - this logo must be unique, easily recognizable, clear, and highly visible. ***The logo MUST include a coffee cup/mug or other item immediately recognizable as coffee-related. ***Ideally, the logo will include BOTH something coffee-related and a Kinkajou (i.e. a Kinkajou peeking over a coffee mug w/its big eyes, hanging from a coffee mug with its tail, or hanging from a branch while holding a coffee mug/cup) A Kinkajou is a nocturnal animal related to the raccoon. "Kinkajous live in the tropical forests of Central and South America, where they spend most of their time in the trees. They are able to turn their feet backwards to run easily in either direction along branches or up and down trunks. The kinkajou also has a prehensile (gripping) tail that it uses much like another arm. Kinkajous often hang from this incredible tail, which also aids their balance and serves as a cozy blanket while the animal sleeps high in the canopy.” (Per http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/kinkajou/ ) Kinkajous are typically only awake between 7pm and 12 am, and once again for an hour or so in the early morning hours. In fact, unless you present an idea w/text that's fantastic, we prefer a logo that does NOT include the company name, and we will add the company name beside or under the logo ourselves as needed. ***The logo image(s) do not need to be "realistic representations". Stylized, impressionistic, and other forms of artistic representation are welcome. ***We're NOT going for the iconic "Starbucks Circle" look - however it is sometimes helpful for the symbol/logo to be contained within a circle or oval, so we are open to ideas which use that sort of concept. |

Browns and blues are our primary company colors. Browns - both light and dark - think coffee; black or with cream. Blues - Navy/dark blue and colonial blue Naturally, black and white may also be used. |

Logos we like: This one is a little too cutesy/childish, but it shows one idea of using a similar animal in the logo.
