My apologies to the delay in getting abck to you but I had a flood in my basement.
This was my first experience with a project where I could tap into the talents of so many others. And there was a lot of talent here. I had to abandon my own design earlier, so I can understand the angst of rejection.
Thank you all for your contributions.

I've extended the competition for another three days as I decide which members of my family to ignore in making a decision.
Project Holder, Thank you very much for the great feedback and kindness I am sure that you’ll find the best logo for your restaurant...good luck!:)

I found the dunhill fonts. Just google for the image. There's a dunhill.jpg available. Thanks.

#72. Nice. Please try with a red color along with the grey. #71 loses the three dimensional effect; #72 is better. #70 fails because I really hate the font. Can't anybody find the dunhill tobacconist font? Try this again with a thinner font -- such as the one you used in #72. #69 (lucky you) is really inventive. I like the idea and would like to see more along these lines. And all these can be cut up and laid out horizontally for the outdoor sign! Nice. Thanks.

I'm not sure if there's a way to respond to any of you directly, so let's start:
I like #60 and #61. If I need a more horizontal sign outside, how can I modify the design. I like the graduated color. I like the red. Wondering if we can add "restaurant" somewhere without spoiling the design.
#57 is definitely an imporovement over the two earlier designs. Can I have a taller "d" as in #66. You might even "take" that font for the rest of the letters.
#50 and #52. Love the grey. Can't use the blue. My wife hates the yellow. So -- how about red. I might be able to take both images on #50 to make the horizontal sign I also need.
#51. You have all the elements --the number, downtown, and restaurant. Please kill the brown and give me a better graphic than nested squares. Steal from my earlier design. Steal from somebody else's.
#49. You're killing me. I need other colors. This design is really classy. The skyline is crisp and clean. Can we add the word "restaurant". Does it work without the 731. Help me on this one. Please.
#25. In addition to last night's comments, kill the red arrow in the word downtown and give me a more symmetrical font for the two words. I like the tiny squares.
#20, #21, #22. Almost. Something's missing and I'm not sure what it is.
#4. You used the same font I found, but it doesn't work. I hate the hook on the "t". Can you try the font in #66? And please try five rows of squares; the even dozen suggests a "last supper". Sorry. And I can't use use blue. Actually, I can but my wife won't let me.
Thanks to all.

# 28. How about a lower case "d" and trail the word restaurant outside the box you've constructed.
#24. This one is growing on me. I like the symbology, even if the font is way beyond what I was thinking of. Let's see more along these lines.
#42. Let's try a diffeent color for the disk your design "sits" on a stretch the graphic out to make it taller. Maybe stretch the letter "d" beyond the range of the other letters.
#22. I like the way you colored the rectangles; it improves upon the original. But I don't like the way "Downtown" reads.
#35. This is growing on me as well. Can we use more angulated skyscraper imagery on the buildings?
#1. I like your overall idea, but I can't look anymore at the faded green color. Let's clean up the font as well, please.
#13. I like the little image. Lets make this a lower case "d" and a lower case "restaurant" please.
#45. Good idea adding people. Let's try the "downtown under the logo and please lose the arrow. Thanks.

#50. Nice. Please add the word restaurant.I like the blue color but it's wrong for the colors we've chosen. Could I see this with black type on the grayish background. Like the way you added the 731.
#49. Nice. What about lower case letters; maybe taller and angular -- like the old dunhill company logo. Also, is there room for the word restaurant. Does this work with a little color? I really like where this one is going.
#47. I like the font, it's tyhe city imagery that doesn't work for me. can we try something more angular, less "suburban"?
#41. Like the font. Don't like the graphics. OK to incorporate a knife or a fork, but I don't see a cityscape here.
#37. I like the integration of the 731 and the restaurant, but I'm not happy with the font. Lower case maybe?
#36. My wife's favorite. The graphic needs a more cityscape feel for me. Please replace the great food (gee, I hope so) with restaurant. I like the font a lot.
#30. This might work. Extend the "d" beyond the box -- and give more city and less "monopoly" houses. And please, NO YELLOW.
#25. I love the graphic, but it's 731. It makes the font look bad. I like the way you stacked the DOWN and the TOWN. Now try a font where they "stack" better. Maybe a art deco type font.
#4. I need to get rid of the hook on the "T"
Maybe a fork or a knife to replace it. And make this bigger please. My wife likes this one too.
To all, sorry about the delays but I've been away for a few days. I'm probably going to extend this a couple of days longer.
