I am in the process of finalizing my decision and I must say that for me it has been a very difficult job to pick from the variety of designs put forward and which was made even more difficult because of the following designers who all presented some of my favorite drafts:
Hey all, thanks to everyone I now have an idea of what the logo would look like with the initials as the focal point of the design. And I have narrowed it down to my favorites!
With four days left in the competition, in addition to the designs being sent in, I would like to see, if possible, a couple of ideas WITHOUT THE INITIALS as the main design feature.
That is, if I could get the name "Dipnarine Rampersad & Company" and next to it some sort of abstract image?
Here are some examples of what I am talking about! These are links to some of largest law firms in the United Kingdom and U.S.A! I am looking for something that is keeping with the general criteria I have set out for the design of the logos! That is, fresh, simple, clean and effective!

Those are just examples! Please submit what you think is appropriate for a LAW FIRM!
On a side note, I intend after this competition is finished, to sign up for website design and possibly stationery design! So keep a lookout for me!
Draft #7 I like the layout of the wording however I would appreciate if you could perhaps play around with the merging of the letters "DR" in different formats? And bearing in mind that I would like to avoid the colour red? Also I am not too keen on the diamond shape.
Draft #1 I really like your design as I think it is simple and effective. I also like the insertion of the light grey under the "DR" logo and mixing the two colours.
I would like if possible to see some variations on the logo itself with those colours but perhaps with the incorporation of an abstract image? However if possible while maintaining simplicity.
I have looked at a few designs on this website and have seen images such as a stylized feather through the initials or roman columns or the name of the law firm with an abstract image next to it such as, what I could only describe as, "a paint brush flick" I hope you understand! I will try and post the links to images to assist!

#39, #40, #41 - thank you for your drafts but unfortunately its not along the lines of what I am looking for.

I am wondering if it is possible to somehow include law or non-law related abstract images in the design...?
Thanks!

I would really like to see more variations of these in the colours blue and/or grey. I like the different ways you have merged the letters.

Most of the designs are clean and straightforward and in the general direction of what I am looking for!
After actually seeing the designs in real I have decided that the use of red in the logo would not be suitable for me.
