| This is a new startup company formed by my husband & I. We both are already business owners of other companies so we have an advantage there. We know what we are getting into. Soapmaking is a passion that we are turning into a business venture. The name Jade was derived from the first two letters of our first names. There are many myths surrounding this unique gemstone, including it's balancing and harmonizing effect. Handcrafted Soapmaking is an art and a science. I am the Art, a craft, if you will. He is the Science. We have a business manufacturing facility .. the product will not be made in our kitchen as a lot of handcrafted soap is. It will be sold on the web along with other bath accessories. Natural sponges, etc. Also at Art Fairs, etc. We would like to set ourself apart from the crafty soapmakers that many people picture wearing chambray shirts and little sheep embroidered on their clothes and handbags. We are more modern and artsy and funky and fun and use the best oils and ingredients available. The design will be used first and foremost on the packaging of the soap. We will use a natural kraft type paper in the brown or a linen color and use raffia ties around a lot of products and gift baskets. So it must look nice in small print. Then it will be used on shirts, the Web, etc. | ||

| Initially thought 2 colors. I do love color! My first choice for the two colors will be Green and Violet. Again a darker green. Violet or Lavender. I am open though. Other colors I would consider would be the colors of Jade listed above. | ||

| I had thought of having soap bubbles come out of the O in soap but really don't know how this would work with the effect I chose above. So confusing! Again, I want to avoid looking like what I find most peoples image are of soapmakers ... country, old fashioned, goatsmilk, lard, etc. Not loving the idea of seeing a bar of soap either. Want to appeal to a younger crowd although we will target all ages. Also I had no idea what type of design to check above so will leave that open to the designers. | ||
