PS @all, don't hang yourself up on the color orange. I am open for other suggestions and it will not have any impact on my rating. I will see through that.
After seeing all the drafts, I know it for sure: I would like the "x" to become the icon in combination with a nice font for "dim()". Just like draft numbers #3, #11 and #12.
Number #8 is nice too, but way to chubby for my taste.
#4 even though I like the font, the "shine" effect is too easy and in my opinion can't be part of the logo. So the logo is now just the font and I am looking for a bit more.
The tagline "The dimension is defined to be dim(x)" should not be in the logo. I strongly believe i ticked "no" even though I see "yes" in the brief.
Please note that if I rate your design with 1 star, it does not mean I hate it or think it is awful. I just would like to use the whole spectrum (1-5) to be able to differentiate.
#1 it feels somewhat like a financial company logo to me. Might be the type of color green in combination with the stroke type in the "x". #2 the "x" in this logo feels to simple for me. #3 I do like the "x" here. This could give the opportunity to use the "x" separately as an icon. I do however miss some balance in this logo. The font feels to thick compared to the x and the squares on top of the i are too square for the rest of the logo.
Summary; feels like a good start, but missing that "wow, yes" effect.
