#406 Very nice! Need to see some variations. Without background color, black, and maybe tan. Also a variation with palate larger, different angle. Possible variations of the word cafe inside the head of a paint brush instead of lines under image. Also font variations. Want to be more readable from street. Maybe a couple of variations in a more block type font? Our color preferances have been a combination of light blue, olive, brown and red.
Hello all! We really appreciate all your hard work on these designs. THANK YOU.
I wanted to write a new post, to help focus the designs and give you guys and gals some fresh inspiration, as well as information to clarify what it is we are looking for.
We would like a logo that is fresh. That doesn't have a cartoon or clip-art look/feel.
We like bright, warm colors, such as yellow, turqoise and brown (though we are not limiting you to those specific colors... we would like to see others as well). Not shocking colors.
We would like to limit the scheme to a maximum 4 colors.
We would like to see crisp, legible fonts, that have some element of flair without distorting visibility.
Think shape and texture~ this is going to be on all sorts of material such as a hanging sign, an awning, menus, uniforms, labels, paper, etc.
We would truly like to stay away from the coffee cup idea, because we serve more than coffee.
A little more about our cafe:
we have a bakery & serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. We serve fresh, wholesome, local ingredients, and our demographic age is 22-45.
The logo does NOT need to be item specific~ like a coffee cup, or a fork/spoon. We are okay with the idea of an arbitrary symbol (example: the starbucks mermaid was based off a deck of cards)
Below i have linked a photo album of logos that we like (please do not copy directly, they are just for inspiration and to get a *feel* for what we like)
Lovag: 296/297 we like the creativness but the coffee steam looks too much like a snake, and the "C" in cafe is overlapping the Art House which we'd like to stay away from.
erobpro: the font is not legible or think enough on #11 & #12 for printing & signs... etc. We like where you're going with the coffe cup door idea.. it's creative.
Okay, We have extended the contest 3 days. And narrowed it down. The use of this logo is for the Awning outside, a sign which may be neon or lit, menu, uniform and internet.
Fonts must be clear and easy to read for passers by.
The contest is not veiled for the convenience of people that are looking at this on line and providing me with feedback. It is important to me to keep my passwords private.
I will now comment on many of the projects individually.
Number 28 is our favorite. We like the way the fonts are stacked and how the palate looks. Wondering about options for palate shapes and look. We are a gourmet pizza and delivery restaurant as well.

Carolina: We really like the Picasso-esque idea, though we feel the face is too typical.
Ideas for everyone: Picasso-esque (or another type of artistic image), artistic looking house, food, a chef, chef hat, kitchen utensils...
Thank you for all your hard work! These are looking really great!

#276 Scott, the fork is not a great fork..
#230 Would like to see some variations and maybe something beside coffee cup.
#11 I like this cup/house. The font would not easily read from the road.
