| This business is a language learning school. We are starting with english but have long-term plans to open into other languages, specifically chinese, spanish, and portuguese. Our school functions in two ways: 1- via internet training (videos, exercises, and skype lessons) and 2- live classroom training given in private school after-school programs. We DO NOT have our own locations. The logo must be easily recognizable as it will be online and on other schools's signage. We are a mix of old-school learning techniques (derived in the 1800's) coupled to cutting edge technology. We would like everything in the school, including the logo, to portray this mix. | ||

| ***VERY IMPORTANT*** I already used logoworks and they screwed this one up bigtime, even with a picture. Our idea is to have a universal logo that will serve as the online logo, the physical sign (that hangs outside the schools), would be the appearance of our business cards, etc... My idea is to have a simple, rectangular antique wood sign, (imagine three or four slats like those of a ship) with the BURTON english logo in stainless steel. Backlighting the steel will be LEDs in the color of the language (as mentioned in the color section). BURTON chinese will have the chinese part of the logo in original chinese script, spanish as espanhol, etc... The website entrance would have the signs in flash swinging in the breeze ever so slightly, creaking a little (think western movie). This is MY idea, I would like to see yours based upon this kind of inspiration. I need a logo that is universally recognizeable no matter the media format. Every logo in Brazil (where we are based) for english schools is a tired red,white, blue logo with very little design style. Brazilians (and the world) and becoming very style sensitive and I want this one to punch with it simplicity, yet stylish design.
