We want to have a new logo created which shows a 'parent' brand (City) and allows other businesses (Apartments, Desks, Camping, Gyms plus others) to be added on to create separate logos as the company expands. (So City apartments, City desks, City gyms, with City always looking the same). The inspiration for this is companies like Virgin who have a fixed parent logo which is then applied to all the businesses in the group and becomes recognisable to the consumer as a trusted brand. We are a growing company, expanding into different markets. Our core business is serviced apartments, urban properties that we let to business and leisure travellers for short and long stays. Our current strapline is ‘Your hotel room just got bigger…!’. We would like a 'City' logo which can work on its own and, only when used with the word ‘apartments’, will work with this strapline too. But the ‘City’ part of the logo needs to work on its own as well. This is very important!! |

We would like something with good impact for the ‘City’ part of the logo – something which looks like it could belong to a big national brand; something that stands out and looks dynamic and professional (but not boring and safe!). We imagine the brand within City being added on, perhaps as simple, clear text, for example: CITYapartments CITYdesks CITYcamping etc etc. We are not fixed on a typographic solution so PLEASE feel free to hit us with shapes and uber-creative ideas.
