  Ok, we have now decided that the logo will be placed on a mid blue background (648AC4) which should help decide the colours.

  I take your valid point regarding the long tag line.
  So, I would say I am looking for a strong (maybe circular) logo accompanied by the text.
  Hopefuly, once the blog is established over time, the logo alone would become a recognisable brand.
  Check out http://www.johnchow.com for an idea and see what you think.
  I liked the idea behind your initial work Robin, but it was a little too 'pictorial' if you see what I mean.
