I am looking for a blog header design that uses existing elements we have already but brings an artistic and creative visual touch to blend with my message about how to keep love thriving in marriage. Our blog is: www.marriagehelpadvisor.com. I am also open to being impressed by a complete rethinking of the design and starting from scratch. I used the couple image because they are "dancing on air. It conveys levity that is still subject to gravity. This is what we have: a serious subject that is best approached with curiosity and awe of the possibilities of love that's good. Can you convey this even better? I will love to see the possibilities! |

| The audience is people looking for help with their marriage. It is a professional blog but one in which personal touch is very important. We want the blog to feel warm and inviting and communicate the theme of having fun and enjoying things that aren't meant to be perfect. | ||

My goal is to have a header design that incorporates these elements: 1) Keep the existing header background picture of the silhouette couple over sunset. 2) Design a logo for the text "Love Good Blog: Living (Better) with the Imperfections of Marriage" (I like the current idea we have to visually add the word "better" in as a correction to the tagline) The words Love Good should be shown relatively close to or connected to each other. The word "Blog" should be near them and connected stylistically but also distinctly outside where the main focus should be, on the title words "Love Good" My name needs to be included somewhere in the header. "Keith Miller, LICSW" Maybe it could be a signature type of thing? I'm not sure. 3) Incorporate my portrait into the header. I will provide file (pic is seen also in the "about" page on the blog.) Similar to what is done here in her header: http://www.drjenniferhoward.com/ 4) Space on the right side of header will not need to have the "search our site" and "rss" widgets there. This space should be used for placing new design elements in the header. 5) I'd like some version of the logo to be able to be used as the browser icon displayed for the site. Please show me how your design can improve my page appearance and make the blog feel warmer and inviting. |
