The Beacon Brewing Company is a craft beer microbrewery/brewpub focused on creating local handcrafted beer. Beacon, NY is located along the Hudson River with majestic views of the river and the surrounding Hudson Highland mountain range. Beacon gets its name from fires (lit as signaling beacons) on the mountain overlooking the city, alerting the locals that the British are coming up the river during the Revolutionary War. Popular icons in craft brewing: Grain / wheat / pint of beer/ hops (feel free to incorporate all or none) - Will be used for the website, pub location windows, t-shirts etc. - Branding/Marketing will be a huge focus of our company; -create a brand and distance our self from competition. When reviewing your design try to envision it plastered all over the place and see if it’s something that would be easily recognizable with some repetition. Do your homework to find out a little more about Beacon as well as the craft beer industry. |

Local and influencial breweries to the Beacon Brewing Company include: Dogfish Head, Captain Lawrence, Newburgh Brewing, Hyde Park Brewing, Gilded Otter Brewing, Peekskill Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, and Samuel Adams. Look at these logos; some are very simple, some more ornate. Come up with one that will differentiate us from these. Vist www.cityofbeacon.org or wikipedia to find out more about Beacon, NY. We have some ideas for what we want, but we want to see what you come up with initially without our influence. By day two, we will begin to narrow down our choices.
