| Active Aging 365 is a web portal for activity directors and recreation therapists who work primarily with people over the age of 65. The site provides professionals with a searchable catalog of over 1000 unique, easy to follow activity plans, an assessment based search function, and an integrated comprehensive program calendar. Designed with the belief that lifelong learning is a primary key to lifelong happiness, the activity plans (really more like a teacher's lesson plan) are designed to help older people continue to lead full, purposeful lives and engage in new experiences. By using our assessment based search function, activity professionals can input the unique social profile of an individual and receive a list of the activity plans which are a perfect match to that individual. Once the person centered list of programs is generated, it can be quickly integrated into a facility wide activity calendar with a simple drag and drop interface, ensuring that everyone has opportunities every month to engage in activities that are meaningful to them. Active Aging 365 is a total leap forward in the delivery of recreation services to older people. It provides a departure from simply keeping people busy (like the dreaded bingo game) to keeping people engaged (like helping someone document their family history). It is a solution takes the tedium out of the job function of the activity director and gives them more freedom to work directly with the people they enjoy serving.
