I think the buildings will dominate the shape, so the buttons can be rectangular or oval

Working on a cell phone idea. Do you like round, square, or oval buttons?

How about a cell phone, or laptop where the buttons are stores / buildings?

All, I have extended the contest for an evaluation period (and you get to vote!).

Please make sure your final work is submitted by Friday at midnight EST. I can make no guarantee that later entries will be considered, but I reserve the option to do so. We are reviewing the submitted designs internally and with focus groups.

Also, I invite submitting designers to review your own and other designer's work, and add a comment with two (exactly and only two) votes.

One vote for your own best submission (indicate number), and one vote for another designer's best (indicate number) if your submission is not chosen.

Please indicate what you liked about BOTH designs, considering graphic elements, fonts, colors, rendering in various mediums (website, mobile phone, print, business cards, pens), message communicated, uniqueness, etc.

Add your votes as comments to the project, the sooner the better, so we have time to review.

Votes and comments from designers with actual submissions will be considered.

We reserve the right of final decision which may be different from the comments

63, 64, 67 - please work on some variety in the building skylines.

This could apply to others as well.

67 - the dashed or hashed area directly under Townstore seems wasted, can it be removed? Also, on the "o" I think the waves on the left "o" should be moved to the right "o". The left "o" should be simpler. The tagline seems too small.

66 - the black area directly under Townstore seems wasted, can it be removed? I like the road on the left. I also like the shorter buildings, but on the right side the heights are too even. Nee to have different height buildings, and maybe an awning store front would be nice (if possible).

65 - seems small, can you make it larger within the frame?

58 - I wonder if the laptop can be implemented so that it works well in various color schemes. As is, it seems like a large black area that doesn't communicate anything, other than laptop, so would and outline form work to get the point across?

58, 66 - please remove the "Shop Now"

61 - Like the idea, but the buildings seem too faint in intensity

37 - can you make it initial cap: "Townstore"

27-28 Nice, but please make the "o" in store like the "o" in town. (drop the target)

30 - can you make the phone more abstract ? Not a specific android or i-phone?

21 - Can you add a few more buildings, medium to small size stores on the outside

31-34 Can you make the font weight on "town" and "store" the same? the town side seems too heavy. Also on 34, can you make the capitalization: Townstore - initial "T" capitalized.

All- some of the town silhouettes are starting to look more like big cities than medium size towns. Can we make it look more like medium size towns? A few large buildings and some small-med stores as well ?

25 - can you remove the orange background around the buildings?

I wonder if we could replace the mouse with a laptop keyboard and screen, maybe a cell phone in the foreground, and the town skyline on the screen

Like color in #3 more than #2, these clearly communicate the shopping aspect, but perhaps more should be communicated from our concepts, may also remind me of other logos (ON SALE?)

#1 is clever, but would benefit from more color and adjustment of relative sizes on elements, posturing of text. Mouse should be smaller and town should be larger.
On all, perhaps we need to add a human element, ie the shopper(s)
