I'm blown away by the creativity and variety of the designs.
I wanted to thank everyone for all their hard work - there's been a few people especially who have put a lot of work into this project and I cannot express my appreciation enough to them. It's a shame there cannot be more than one winner.
Thanks again everyone. This has been a very enjoyable experience!

#143 - really like the crispness and simplicity of your design. Can I see what it looks like on a black background?

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has participated and submitted designs so far.
It's been absolutely amazing to see all the different logo's that everyone produced and I have to say it will be a difficult choice!
Thank you again to all the designers - this was a great experience and I'm looking forward to picking a winner!

#119 - this is my favourite of your designs - very smart look.
#106 - also like the cartoonish vibe of this logo. Very nice!
For anyone wishing to submit - please remember that I am looking for something more than just text or the letters SG - I'm really looking for a nice, stylized logo to go with the text which easily communicates gaming.
Will be back in a couple of hours with my final pics. Thank you to everyone who took part - I've really enjoyed seeing the differences in the logo's as they have gone through revisions and also really loved seeing the creativity here.

If you have submitted but you've had another idea you want to include - please go for it. More than anything I'm after a creative logo that sells Save Game as focused on videogaming. Something bold and vibrant, but also professional and streamlined, that takes in videogaming and videogaming culture and presents it in one fantastic logo.
And if you haven’t submitted yet but you want to – please do. I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the different styles of logo’s and I’d love to see anyone’s take on what Save Game’s logo could look like!

#72, #79 #80 and #81 – I like the way you’ve incorporaged the S and the G with the controller into the logo. Really nice. Not too sure that the colours you have right now are right, though – Can you perhaps experiment with some other colours? Out of the texts you’ve used, I like the one shown in #79 the most.
#75 – Really like this. The use of the d-pad and tetris. I like the text although the g in ‘Game’ is a little hard to read for me and at a quick glance looks a little like the s. Can I see the logo in a black and also white background? Trying to visualise how it would look for the website/tshirt purposes I need it for.
#76 #77 and #78 I’m really loving the look of this logo, especially with the colours you’ve used. I like #77 - the D-pad version of the logo the most. That’s looking really professional and clean. Can I see what the logo looks like on a black background but with the colours you’ve used against the blue background incorporated into it? (ie not just straight white for the black background)
#86 #87 #88 and #89 I like the use of the colours - #89 would be my favourite out of the colours you’ve used there.
#73 and #82 – I prefer the text used in #73 as #82 has too much of a haunted house/ghost train feel to me.
#83 #84 and #85 – Thank you again for the resubmissions – I have sent some comments off through private message in order to keep the comments down here. If you didn’t get my message, please let me know.
#90 and #91 thank you as well for resubmitting. I have also sent you a private message. Let me know if it wasn’t received.
#92 I am assuming you are going for a ratings style logo like the ratings boards does for video games? Interesting – I like the use of the green and the black. Can you put the logo on a black background so I can see what that looks like?

#63 Interesting colour combination – the gold and aqua. But the image isn’t screaming ‘gaming’ to me. Maybe experiment a bit with a stylized logo that conveys the gaming aspect.
#64 Not seeing the gaming element – I know you’ve used the xbox controller colour buttons underneath the text but that by itself isn’t conveying gaming.
#65 Can I see what the logo looks like in an lightish blue colour like these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azure_(color) or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleu_de_France_(colour) or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodger_blue (so that blue colour paired with black in the design) and can I see it also in an orange colour like Orange Peel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_peel_(color)#Orange_peel or Orange Web: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_(colour)#Orange_.28web_colour.29 or Princeton Orange: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variations_of_orange#Princeton_orange ( so that orange colour paired with black in the design) And for these designs – when putting them on black and white backgrounds – can you just have the black (for the white background) and white (for the black background) lines around the image? Similar to how in your earlier designs (like #35) that had the white, you didn’t put a colour block around the actual logo. So when the logo is sitting on a white background, it just has the logo lines itself rather than being surrounded by a block colour.
#66 an #67 – After thinking about it and seeing your new designs I definitely like the diamond as a back rather than the circle. I’m really liking the straight black and white designs on #67 – they are looking good on the black and the white backgrounds. Is it possible for me to see the design you have in #67 in the colours I mentioned in the above comments? (so one showing the blue colour and another showing the orange colour) Not sure where I’d want the colour accent to be – but maybe in the way you have used the purple in #67 or even just have the colour used on the text of the logo and the background diamond?
#70 I like the way you’ve used the cord to make the letters of Save Game, though I don’t like the look of the joystick.
#71 Interesting idea but I don’t like the chromy style fade in/out of the graphic. I’m really looking for only 2-3 block colours without fading/lighting effects.
Thank you so far for your effort, designers. I really appreciate the resubmissions.

But don’t feel like you have to use one particular controller or a joystick or just a single thing. I’m open and interested to see whatever you come up with – something out of the box and something that makes an impact. Something different but also has that 'gaming' vibe.
Experiment a bit with things – mix it up a little – maybe have the outline of a controller or something else that hasn’t been tried before that’s related to gaming.
Project Holder
#53 I like the text you have used but the logo isn’t selling ‘gaming’ to me. Maybe incorporate some gaming related things with the text you’ve used.
#54 and #55 – I’m really liking the feel of the logo – and I think the text you’re using for it works better than the previous text despite my hesitations of earlier. It’s grown on me and it fits the logo you’ve designed. I’m looking to feature this logo on a black background as well as a white one, and I’m also likely going to be printing it on tshirts – so I need the colour for the logo and the text to ‘pop’ on both backgrounds. I’m a little worried the yellow wouldn’t look as good on a white background. I also like the combination of black plus a feature colour you’ve used in #54. I think now it’s just a matter of finding a colour that looks really great against both black and white backgrounds (while staying a black + feature colour for the logo)
#56 #58 and #60 I’m favouring these three over your #59. I like the crispness and the cleanness of them and I think the text is easy to read as well. Can’t decide whether I like the circle or the diamond now as the backing – they both look good. Will have a think about it (I do like the circle or the diamond more when it is a solid colour or solid black – to me it looks better when it is done that way rather than the grey alternative) I like the blue and the green in #56 over the darker green and purple in #58. Can I see what the straight black and white logo looks like colour reversed on a black background? Also thinking of other colour combinations that haven’t been tried (for the colour logo’s). I’d be open to seeing anything you like (as long as it isn’t a green and gold combination or something that’s already been done).
#57 Interesting concept but I’m looking for flat style logo’s rather than ones that show depth as featured in this design.
#61 I like the text but I’m wondering why the colour doesn’t go all the way to the end of the text, and the logo again isn’t selling ‘gaming’ to me.

#41 and #43 I like the crispness of your designs. Was wondering what they would look like with just the one feature colour plus black? So an orange and black instead of an orange and blue? Maybe even a cyan and black? Maybe more than just one controller? Not sure. Something that adds to the design a little without it just being a controller. Give it a little something more. With #43 can you make the controller larger and take out the background shading in the circle.
#42 I like the orange and cyan together as well as the controller pad, but not the way that it’s used to make a smiley face. Can you do some experimenting with what the logo would look like without that?
#45 #46 #47 #48 and #49 – thank you for the changes. I definitely think the block colour looks a lot better. I don’t think I like that particular blue and gold together, though, in that form at least. Can I see either #46 or #47 featuring just the one colour plus black? Say a vibrant colour like orange or electric blue/purple/red etc. Out of #46 and #47 – I like #46 more however can you see what #47 would look like with the grey shaded diamond with a solid colour like you have done with the circle in #46? I like the D-pad use in #49 but in its current form it’s a little overpowering. Maybe have a little play around with that as well.
#50 and #51 The orange definitely looks better than the red, and I like #51 with the colour being on the text and the logo rather than around it. Can you experiment with different eye catching and bold colours and come back with a couple that you think look the best? Ensuring that you make whatever colour you choose the colour for both the text and the logo so that both are the same colour? (unlike in #51 where the text is orange and the logo is a red) So – keeping to just two colours in the design.
Project Holder
#36 and #37 – I like where you are going with the inclusion of the arcade stick with the logo. Can you use block colours instead of the gloss and line effects? I’ll likely be using the logo for printwork and I think the block colour will transfer better. Also – do you have a less chunky looking font? I like the logo, but the text seems a bit common or not distinguished. Can I see what your design (or something slightly tweaked) looks like on a black background as well please. #39 doesn’t work for my purposes. Looking for a stylized logo rather than a imagy-clip art style logo. I like the idea of a controller with the screen but not in that style.
#40 not a fan of the font. The joystick is also too big and looks more like a lollipop than a joystick. I'm looking for the logo to be streamlined, yet still make an impact.

I'm liking the use of a single block colour for the designs - so if you use blue and gold use blue and gold - don't have the blue moving into lighter shades/darker shades of blue in the text.
The use of S for the logo is interesting but I'm ideally looking for a graphic to go along with the text that says to someone looking at it that 'this is for a videogame website'.
I do really like the use of the stylized controller in #24 but the name of the site is Save Game - can you fix the spelling of Safe to Save in your design please. Also - can you make the gold in the text one single colour so I can see what that looks like? And can you move the text a little so that you can see the S and G in Save Game instead of them being partially obscured by the image?
Draft #23 I also like the use of the face buttons in your design - can you straighten the text so it's not on an angle and have the colours straight colours without that light highlight effect that are on them?
Draft #31 #28 #27 #26 and #25 your designs are eye catching but again aren't communicating 'gaming website' to me. The logo's could just as easily be for an insurance company as a videogame website. Can you perhaps see about incorporating something uniquely video-game related?
The logo really needs to scream video game related when people look at it - so I'm thinking there needs to be video game related items within it. Have some fun with trying to incorporate gaming related items into the design - so maybe some controllers - from the front, at an angle, on their side - to the left of the texts Save Game or in between the letters.
I'm really looking for a punchy logo that easily communicates what the site is about. Something that stays in a person's mind.
So - bold vibrant colours with an image that's related to gaming. Controllers. Video displays. Face buttons or D-pads. Something punchy and fun.
Project Holder
I'm liking the colours everyone is using however don't feel like you are limited to only using the colours I mentioned in the brief. I'm looking for bold colours to be used - something that catches the eye - and the colours I listed were just examples of that.
I'm favouring logo designs that have more than just the name 'Save Game' in them - so please keep that in mind when submitting.
Draft #5 #6 and #14 I like that there is more than just the words Save Game but the logo needs to have more. It needs to be clean and crisp whilst also being vibrant and bold.
Draft #8 #10 and #11 I like the addition of the pointer but the website is going to cover a variety of consoles and PC gaming and I'd like the logo to reflect that. I do like the combination of the orange and the pink and the blue and the purple, but again don't feel like you're restricted to those colours. Experiment a bit and see what works.
The key aspect for this logo for me is that it really needs to communicate the video gaming aspect of the site - people need to automatically know that the name Save Game is related to gaming (include console, PC and handheld etc). So just having an S or the initials as the image to go along with Save Game isn't going to convey that to the audience.
