    A quad fold would fit on a legal size paper 8.5 x 14 as opposed to the standard letter size of 8.5 x 11.

    The flyer should reflect the same information and content of the tri-fold. I know you probably will not be able to include some of it due to the flyer being a different layout but the important stuff can be garnered form the tri-fold and incorporated into the flyer. The flyer can be 2 sided. The flyer and tri-fold should be educational to the home owner more than anything. They are an advertisement yes, but they are not an add.

    As far as the door hanger goes, the current designers have that one right on. Use those as a refernce. The door hanger should be an “add” type advertisement. I would like it to mention “Free roof inspection” “Free Insurance Claim Analysis”. Also, if we can get their claim fully covered we will install free gutters or gutter leaf guard on their home, or offer them a cash incentive. (There will be a disclaimer below that the cost of the free gutter or gutter guard replacement or cash incentive will be covered up to $500.0 for any claims over $5000.00)

    Hello Designers.

    Please look in the Download section of another word document. This one I typed up ahas all the content exactly like what I would want. I should have done this a long time ago. Oh well, I learned! This is for the tri-fold. If there is too much stuff there in your opinion for a tri-fold then please incorporate it into a quad-fold on legal size paper - I would be fine with that. Also please incorporate the tri-fold content into the flyer. All your designs are great. Please also check the link on the document as it has tons of new roof stock photos. Thank you.

    Hello, Designers. A couple of questions asked about the project to answer here for the benefit of everyone. Due to my lack of experience on the design process I did some research on what would be helpful to you designers to be really effective on the side of content. My novel below.

    1. A short bio: We just starting out here in Colorado in January 2011 and I think some folks would be unsure about a new company performing services for them just due to the lack of track record. As such I do not want to even go near the topic other than to emphasize that our combined staff has over 40 years of experience replaceing and reairing all types of roofing, siding, and gutters. Also, that we are licensed all through-out all of the state of Colorado and bonded and fully insured as are our sub-contractor crews. We are also members of the BBB and the NRCA and WSRCA.
    2. I, the owner of the company have had a successful roofing and insulation company in a different state for 10 years before I sold it. All of our business was word of mouth and referrals. We grew into a big company this way and as such never really needed marketing and advertising material. This market in this state we are in now, however, is different altogether. It is extremely competitive, is insurance claim driven, and very much dependent on door to door sales success – something we never had to do before. Hence, the need for this material
    3. Southerus is a name derived from my last name and the latin suffix “erus” meaning “owner”. I mention this not to send the message to clients that I own the company but to send the message that I take ownership and complete responsibility for everything we do as a company for and in behalf of our clients.
    4. We are not, nor will we ever be a huge roofing company that chews through clients and moves on to the next. I had this type of company before and it was never a good experience for me and was always stressful managing all aspects of it. I’m am sure some of my clients probably hated it too sometimes – all the red-tape. So speaking from experience, this time around I am going to take great pride in the fact that we are a locally owned and operated company that allows us to be 100% customer centric and focused, and that is small and runs a tight ship – one that affords us the time and energy to really focus on serving our customers once we the relationship has begun. This means not just a one-time job for a client but the kind of relationship where they will call us back to refer us to friends and family and do future projects for them in the years to come. Again, we will not be huge company – we will be an extremely customer centric, tight, organized and efficient operation – all for the benefit of our clients.
    5. As far as our staff… I already outlined our combined experience above, but to be a little more detailed: It is an industry standard here to use sub-contractor crews to perform the actual physical removing of a damaged or old roof and installing a new one (same with siding and gutters) however, each one was we use has to be certified by us as to experience and quality of workmanship, background checked, drug screened, and most of all legally insured with the proper general liability insurance and workman’s compensation insurance. Also, our crews are all local crews, not ones that travel state to state chasing storms. Which we as a company do not do either.
    6. We are fully insured licensed and bonded. We are 100% competent and professional in all we do.
    7. We understand how the insurance claims process works and that most of our customers do not As such we are much like a “Public Insurance Adjuster” which advocates on the behalf of our home owners with their insurance companies to get their claims covered. We literally handle the entire process for them on the backend while all they get to do is enjoy the process of picking a new roof/siding/gutter type and color and then seeing it go on. They do not have to worry about anything else.
    8. The steps to this process are as follows:
    - We knock the doors of residential neighborhoods that have been hit by storms in which there is damage – not in which we assume damage.
    - We offer a free roof inspection to the home owner. By this time there may have been several roofing companies come in before us that were unable to take car of the home owner. We educate them as to why we are different and our knowledge and expertise level will prove that to them.
    - Upon finding damage we take photos and share them with the home owner.
    - It is at this point we will ask the home owner to call their insurance company to file a claim and set an appointment with a claims adjuster.
    - Upon getting the appointment time from the home owner for the adjuster we will then meet the adjuster at the home owners house and then advocate with our knowledge and photo proof, on behalf of the client (that doesn’t know anything about roofing siding or gutters usually) to get the damaged items covered by the insurance company. At this point is literally where we take it over for the home owner and save them the greif and headache of this process. There is much more beyond this but will dealt with once a contract is signed. This material is strictly marketing to get up to the point of an adjuster appointment. This is important to understand.
    9. We are experts in all types of roofing materials. For sloped roofs: Asphalt shingle, Tile (cement and clay), Composite Shake, Wood shake, Metal, Stone-Coated metal, Slate. For flat roofs: EPDM, Cold Applied Modified, Polyurthane. There are actually other roofing types for flat but I do do not them as it my opinion that they are inferior to the ones we do apply.
    Siding: Cement fiber board, Cedar Shingles, Aluminum, Steel, Pre-Painted.
    Gutters: Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Half round, square, all types of gutter guard systems.
    10. Our commitment to service, our knowledge and expertise level, our quality of workmanship are all very important too.
    11. The potential roofing options (in #9) are also exciting for a client to contemplate if we can get their roof covered via claim.
    12. I want to emphasize that the flyer and tri-fold should be educational to the home owner more than anything. They are an advertisement yes, but they are not an add. I want a home owner to be able to look it and from the first appearance want to look inside it and read it. I want them to read it and simply be able to inform themselves about what storm damage is and what it looks like. From there, what they should expect from their insurance company to do about it, and then what we can offer and do for them making that happen on their behalf. Then some potential options provided it gets covered and some references and / or testimonials.
    13. The door hanger should be an “add” type advertisement. I would like it to mention “Free roof inspection” “Free Insurance Claim Analysis”. Also, if we can get their claim fully covered we will install free gutters or gutter leaf guard on their home, or offer them a cash incentive. (There will be a disclaimer below that the cost of the free gutter or gutter guard replacement or cash incentive will be covered up to $500.0 for any claims over $5000.00)
    14. Please remember all the content can be found in the website links of my competitors on the document upload, and in that Google link I posted of some other flyers. I do the same exact thing as them - nothing different. We just do it a lot better. You will just have to extrapolate from it what and how you will use itjust to work on content..

    To answer your questions:
    1. As to the size of the flyer, tri-fold and door hanger I am illiterate on that stuff. I thought it was standard 8.5x11 paper for the flyer and tri-fold and a standard size door hanger. If you have a suggestion based on your expertise I am willing to listen and learn.
    2. As far as the colors and business card info go, you are correct. The simplicity of the 2 colors was good for the business cards but if you want or need to utilize more colors in your work go ahead.
    3. Yes, the logos could be used on the material as in the card but in a very minor non-obvious way. The card uses them very visably but on this material I would rather them be more discreet.
    3. Yes all the content on business cards I will want to carry into this material with the exceptions of names and cell phone numbers.

    I've just seen the business card.

    Your logo is 2 colors as i can see gray and blue.

    I guess all the information included in your business card must be transfered to all the other designs except the name i think or you want the name too?
    Am i right?

    Hi there, i can see nowhere the sizes of the products you need, flyer, tri-fold and the handle.

    Plus one question, you have a lot of logos attached from approving awards or something, i guess yu want all of them included to your products?

    I just wanted to let you designers know that I seriously lack creativity and ability to design any thing graphically. I guess thats why I'm a roofer and you all are designers :) As such I can not really tell you exactly what I am looking for in this. I can only provide you all the content I can and trust that your expertise and creativity will flourish and it will turn out right. Of all the things I uploaded, go right to the document link first- it has all the important content. The rest is just logos and such.
