Thanks Jim! I will get something for you on both concepts soon.

#6 is a great step toward what I was thinking. I shared it with some other people in the office and we all agreed that we would like to lose the square around the fire and just have a flame without all the background. Also, we would like to see a different font in the FIRELINE text. There are several "fire department" fonts out there. Also, there are some cool modern fonts with more rounded edges that look really nice too. Are you up for a whole other concept too? Do you remember the movie/tv show Mission Impossible with the burning fuse in the beginning of the title sequence? See it here: http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/mission-impossible/trailer There is a graphic in there of a fuse burning in the title logo. What if you divided the words Fireline and Investigations with a horizontal line that had a fire burning at the end of the line or maybe along the line? I am interested in both concepts - the magnifying glass and the fire-line thing.

    Thanks. JIM

I like the Magnifying glass concept in #5. I would like to expand on the magnifying glass idea, maybe magnifying the fire under the lens, so that the view through the lens makes the glass bigger, or maybe the "F" in fireline is bigger under the glass lens.

The design in draft #1 is OK, but something in the fire image does not work for us. What about a horizontal line with either a fire burning at the end, like a fuse, or a fire actually burning on top of part of the line?

I would like the logo to lend itself well to embroidery since all of our employees will wear clothing with the logo stitched onto the clothing.
