93, 90 - I think we are giving up on the Tau Beta Pi "Bent", and the Beta Gamma Sigma symbols. I don't think others will get it, but I am very much open to any of your ideas, including using any subset or variation of those symbols that are useful.

All, I have extended the contest for an evaluation period (and you get to vote!).

Please make sure your final work is submitted by Friday at midnight EST. I can make no guarantee that later entries will be considered, but I reserve the option to do so. We are reviewing the submitted designs internally and with focus groups.

Also, I invite submitting designers to review your own and other designer's work, and add a comment with two (exactly and only two) votes.

One vote for your own best submission (indicate number), and one vote for another designer's best (indicate number) if your submission is not chosen.

Please indicate what you liked about BOTH designs, considering graphic elements, fonts, colors, rendering in various mediums (website, mobile phone, print, business cards, pens), message communicated, uniqueness, etc.

Add your votes as comments to the project, the sooner the better, so we have time to review.

Votes and comments from designers with actual submissions will be considered.

We reserve the right of final decision which may be different from the comments

All - I posted #69 as an idea we have been toying with. I just put this together in so its quite crude, but I hope it stimulates some ideas. Please take this as attempt to show an idea that is open to you to improve upon.

It is probably too complicated as is, and clearly not executed well. The Thinking man is in the middle of the symbol, but seems is too small to be used as shown. The other element (in blue) is roughly based on a combination of the Tau Beta Pi "Bent", and the Beta Gamma Sigma symbols, but is intended to also invoke the Tesla coil concept.

Maybe this site will spark some ideas on Tesla:

All - if you have a graphic element composed around the letter "e", make that the first symbol on the left followed by "nventful"

13, 26 - Can you make the swirls more like an "e" and position as the first letter, otherwise, I have no idea what the graphic symbol means.

    What no good Tesla inspirations?

23 - I like it, but I can't tell that the first letter is an 'E'

    24 - I don't get it.

I guess I'm not sure of your creative direction. I need a more difinitive subject to be able to design something you'll enjoy. When the window of creativity is left completely open, we tend to suffer from "designer's block". I'll give it another shot.

Note where the graphic element uses an 'e', it should take the place of the first letter in Eventful

19,20 - the execution of the graphic needs to be much better. Just give me one of the elements in each submission, not two. You can submit more than one rendering, but I can barely see what you are drawing. Whatever we go with has to render well in many formats, so don't see how this execution could work with the fine lines.

All, the most important thing to communicate in the graphic element is originality and creativity. We don't have to use an 'e', or a Bent, but I am not rejecting those concepts. I'd like to see some more creativity to get the concept of invention across.

    18 - I don't get the three stripes
    17 - the easy button?
14 - don't like the Ram Truck concept

    #6, let's drop the tagline

On #6, like the idea, but the light bulb is a bit old fashioned now, also maybe invokes GE. Telsa is one of my heros, so anything from his work inspire you? Maybe you could forge a Bent into one of his coils.

Like the font treatment on 12 better than 11, but symbol on 11 better. Do you know if the symbol is copyrighted? Since the Bent was used to wind a watch, is there a way to depict the key at the center on an infinite (perhaps mobius) loop?

I think I like #3 best of the 4 so far - because I can see the 'e' more clearly.

I'd like to also consider other approaches such as:
    - using the logo 'e' as the first letter,

    - using a first letter shaped like a capital 'E' which also could look a bit like an capital 'I'

-using some symbol that invokes the idea of invention perhaps from Leonardo, or some other inventor (in the public domain of course) e.g. Leonardo's Man, Thinking man, maybe some symbol representing engineering, or engineering excellence (i.e. the Bent http://www.seas.upenn.edu/media/feature-bent.php ) etc
    .
-using spacing, capital letters, or other techniques to emphasize the syllables, e.g. EnVentFul

-any other 'enventful' ideas that you may have

Thanks for the drafts, I prefer a more corporate font style as in #2 as compared with #1. The font in #2 is somewhat in between fun and corporate, which is good. But still interested in seeing more options.
