See below ↓↓ - I see the leaf part of the logo being a tracing of the marijuana leaf. I don't want it looking like an actual pot leaf. Forward thinking, minimal, clean, modern, clever 'tracing' of a marijuana leaf with maybe a lettertype logo of EP (i.e. #165 is a lettettype logo) incorporated in it also

    ATTENTION DESIGNERS!!!!

The contest has been extended three days due to a minor hiccup in creative direction. SO SORRY!!!!

So, the label has gone back and forth on whether or not to include a marijuana leaf in the logo. We have now decided that this should be a part of the look/feel of the design. The designs you have all created so far have been tremendous! And I feel terrible for dropping this on you right before the contest ends cause I know the time and effort you put into these projects!!

Anyways, the direction we are looking to go is not far off from what a lot of you are already doing (you might just need to include a modern-looking pot leaf depending on what design you have). We want to still keep the design minimal if possible. We are most likely going to create a neon sign of the logo and logotype to get that 'electronic' feel...and then use that sign during the cover art photo shoot. So the design can't be too detailed or else that won't work. If you need a neon sign reference just Google 'neon marijuana sign.' BUT DON'T COPY ANY OF THOSE. It's not what we are looking for. Just wanted to give you direction on where the design will end up.

Remember that ONLY a marijuana leaf is not necessarily what we are looking for. Use your imagination and keep it modern/minimal/electronic feeling. Don't forget too that a pot leaf has 5 leaves...not three! Think of ways you can modernize the look of the leaf while maybe incorporating a lettertype 'EC' logo within it. Remember too that the end result will likely be replicated on a neon sign.

I am sure you guys will have questions for me. I truly apologize for the inconvenience. Please hit me up personally through my inbox if you need more direction. I will try to get back to you as soon as humanly possible.

    Thank you!!!

    Designers,

I am looking for something more in the range of #1, #2 and #23 in the sense that I need a logotype (Electronic Chronic) and a pictorial mark.

Remember, this will most likely grace the cover of an album. So keep the logotype very clean/minimal. But get creative with the pictorial mark! I like the simplicity of #19.

Good luck!!! And thanks for the submissions! Hit me up if you have any questions...

BTW, when I said "copyrighted" in the brief, I did not mean the actual design. Cause we don't have that yet!! We have trademarked the word/phrase though. Just wanted to clear that up in case of confusion.

    Thanks and good luck!!
