Creative Brief

  Restaurant Logo & Packaging Logo

  Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company

  No

We are a new restaurant located on the quaint and popular island of Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. We are a full service seafood restaurant with 4 star food at 2+ star pricing. We will be featuring 6 seafood chowders that will be the core of our business, we will be a 'Chowder House' yet with a full and lively bar and amazing menu featuring seafood, steaks, pastas & more. We are attempting to own the brand of 'chowder' on this small New England Island, and anticipate moving off island soon to areas in Boston, Connecticut and beyond. Because our name says chowder, our logo does not need images of it, as we feel we want to convey that we are a Seafood restaurant...not just chowder... Sort of like The Cheesecake Factory doesn't just sell cheesecake...

Coastal colors but not weak. Logo has to work on the facade of the restaurant and on the container the chowder would be sold in at supermarkets. Dual purpose. No pinks, purples, etc, all else fair game. possibly distressed colors, but not trendy...

Think fish market, fishing village meets city slickers. A distressed feel yet clean...I see the logo painted on distressed beach wood, a logo that looks like it has been there for years...Think copper and wood decor yet coastal and island and fun and clean. Good luck!!

This is a good image to use as a silhouette

Maybe we can try the oval in this shape, or a clam or quahog shape...
