    Dear CH,
    Inkscape is a freeware vector-graphics-editor...
    Installer about 40 mb,
    You can work in layers...

    Link-
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape/files/inkscape/

Photoshop isn't a vector graphicseditor though it can import eps format...

Use Inkscape if you want a free & lighter alternative to Illustrator...

Files formats' import/export supported by inkscape -

    Hope that helps...
    Thanks

    Vorstller,
Very nice concept for Draft #56. Could you swap out the rat for a squirrel and swap the moth for a termite? Also, stretch out Pest Solutions below Zone.

I need to make sure the source files(especially text layers)can be edited in PhotoShop, as we don't have Illustrator. Can you clarify? Thanks.

The new name came after several years of consideration. Choosing a name in which we could obtain a federal trade mark as well as being approved by our state regulators was not an easy task. If it was in any way similar to an existing company, we would not have been able to get it approved.

Ok, that's a good place to start on your logo design. Learning that yours is a well established business with a solid reputation in a large and fairly sophisticated market such as Atlanta is crucial in terms of its look and feel. Also, the fact that you are planning to phase in a total rebrand should drive the design as well (which given the maturity of your business is a smart way to ease your customers and staff through a name change with minimal consequences). I totally agree with your descision to remove "chemical" from your name in the Green era. It's a smart business decision despite the short term pain. You will most likely see results almost immediatly. Any particular reason for the new name choice? Thanks again for the info.

    Creativelee,

We will undergo a full re brand eventually. However, we will phase it in slowly. Although we realize the importance of getting "chemical" out of our name, we have developed a well known and respected brand in the Atlanta area over the last 14 years.

Hi there - what's the goal of your redesign besides the name change of the company? Why not a color change with the name change? What do you want your logo to convey about your company? Looks like you have residential and commercial customers. Who is your primary target? Are you planning a total rebrand for the firm including your website?
