    Hi folks,

    Thank you to everyone who has submitted designs, these are all very terrific. We are extending the project a bit longer, and have some favorites that we would to focus on.

    #81 -- The crescent shape around the circle provides a sense of movement that I like -- I prefer the orientation in 59 & 81 where the crescent "opens" upper right, rather than at 12 o'clock as in 57 & 82. The tree also has a nice Northwest feel. (If I'm being picky, I'd say an evergreen-looking tree would be more appropriate, rather than a deciduous tree - but I don't want to look like a forest products company and I like the look and feel of what you have.) Prefer the font you've used in 57 (and the gradient works well to soften it a bit), but I'd like to see if there's a way to better integrate the text with the symbol - in both versions it feels like they are a bit separate. One idea is to keep the two lines of text centered the way you have them in the 57, but move them up next to the symbol so the two lines of text "wrap" slightly around the circle. Not sure if that would work, though. Maybe incorporating the font treatment from the 57 into 59 would work. In 59, I think "Pacific Northwest" could be even smaller relative to HR Strategic Forum (and maybe only as wide as the blue line that is next to Forum).

    #63 -- The mountain silhouette is also very nice and PNW appropriate - but the design is a little busy for me. I prefer the 63 with the surrounding circle, rather than 64 that looks like a reflection. But, I think I'd like to see it without the green area of the circle. So, it would be the mountain with the blue "sky" above, and just a green line below. Can you play with that a little? Remove "PNW HRSF". Delete "The" and move "Pacific Northwest" so it's above the line of the horizon - and a smaller/less bold font, as you have it. Emphasis remains on HR Strategic Forum in larger/bolder font, below the horizon. I like the solid colors of the text in version.

    Text -- In general, HR Strategic Forum should be more prominent than Pacific Northwest. We don't need to include "The" with Pacific Northwest - and we don't need to include both the abbreviation and the full spelling as you do in 63 & 64.

    #73 -- Is still in the running, earlier versions got a little tough to read when reduced down to favicon size (16 x 16 pixels.) This looks a bit cleaner, could you try to minimize the gradient or remove the white outline on the figures. Also the green in the font feels a bit too lime, maybe something darker. See if there is any feedback in the comments above that help.

    Hoping to see some more variations that read "PNW HR Strategic Forum" with the PNW less prominent.

    Like the font choice in 27.

    The trunk/figures in 36 are still not feeling quite right, try shifting the arrangement/color.

    Font in 37-39 are not particularly compelling.

    Also like the alternative path being taken in 39. Not wedded to the tree/person idea.

    Nice submissions Fawwaz.

    10 & 13 need HR added to "Strategic Forum", which should be made more prominent than "Pacific Northwest".

    Maybe the figures/trunk in 20 & 21 could be made the same size so they are given the same prominence. They sort of read as parent/child currently.

    I also really like how some of you are including variations of the logo at the bottom of your submission. Black and white version is particularly helpful.

    Really liking what is going on with 20-22 - more comments soon.

    Would like to see 19 with the symbol cocked a bit, it feels a bit too rigid in it's current symmetrical configuration. Also, would like to see the green in 18 & 19 a bit more vibrant.

    Colors to think of are deep blue ocean and verdant greens of the pacific northwest rain forest (not tropical). Don't get too distracted by the colors in the current website, that will be redesigned later also.

    How about incorporating people figures and/or trees into the design, representing people and growth.

    I like how the mountain representation is breaking out of the sphere in #9, but think the bands circling the sphere are unnecessary. Also the gradient in the type on #7 seems to make the text difficult to read.

    Great, starting to get some designs rolling in! Thanks everyone who has submitted so far, here's some more direction based on what I'm seeing.

    1. The word bubble thing happening in #2 and #5 is in the wrong direction, think forum as in business people sitting around a table sharing ideas and not online forum/chat.

    2. LIke the direction of #1 and #2. The native american symbol is well done, and it does capture the sense of region, but not the sense of people connecting and not business community. The colors are nice, though the gradient makes them feel a bit too neon.

    3. In general, less a fan of gradient - particularly in the font.

    4. #3 and #4 the font in the symbol feels a little too "techie" think more about emphasizing the personal connection between business professionals.
