THANKS TO ALL DESIGNERS. IT WAS A VERY DIFFICULT CHOICE THAT CAME DOWN TO THE LAST HOUR AND I CHANGE MY MIND SEVERAL TIMES. THERE WERE MANY BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL, AND INTERESTING FIVE AND FOUR STAR DESIGNS TO CHOOSE FROM BUT I COULD CHOOSE ONLY ONE AS THE FINAL WINNER.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM AND RESPONSIVENESS OF ALL WHO SUBMITTED MULTIPLE ENTRIES. I EXPECT TO HAVE FUTURE LOGO PROJECTS, AND IF SO, I WOULD BE HONORED TO RECEIVE FURTHER ENTRIES FROM ANY OF YOU.

re: the upper case M, I didn't want the m to be lost to the vibrant coloring of the Lightenment, but if you're happy with #120 the way it is I'll leave it alone.

#132, #133, #134: Thanks for adding the taglines.

#130, #131: see recent post to your earlier versions on concerns i have about this mobile phone design going out of fashion soon. Also including m inside the mobile phone didn't make sense to me.

Besides which I think your alternative designs are much more powerful. Thanks!

#123, #124: Very powerful new designs, I like them very much. However, tagline is missing in both. Please resubmit, thanks!

#119: Very elegant and clever. m and l together suggesting mobile phone with antenna, or perhaps bars of a statistics graph.

Per comment on your other design, not sure how much I can trust mobile phone design not to go out of fashion soon.

So, can you stagger the heights of the first three blue bars from middle to higher, so that all four bars are on a single ascending line, with final l the highest? This would resemble bars used on mobile phones to display of strength of signal (more bars = more connection strength, hence theme of "connectivity" which could fit well with overall logo objective.)

Still need to preserve color scheme to suggest both m and l, of course...

#125, #126: OK, now I see what you were originally going for. Problem is that this design references a particular style of mobile phone; phone designs go out of fashion very quickly, will be problematic for my logo in a year or two.

#103: Ah, origami. I get it now. Very beautiful design. Sorry for being a little slow on the uptake.

#122, #128: eliminated because m should be lower case, unless the design approach makes case irrelevant (or exception can be made on some other design reason).

#121: Eliminated because plain black ground of your version #120 is simpler, more visually compelling.

Is there anything I could change that would make #120 a five?

#118: Interesting and progressive design, thank you.

That said, somehow the ML combination seems overly complicated. Also, not sure what the overall design is meant to convey (other than ml, of course).

Part of the issue may be putting letters in relief. At first glance the solid elements almost seem to suggest a comb in a hairbrush, before you notice the silhouetted ml letters. Is there a different meaning the viewer is supposed to see?

#13: Reluctantly eliminated this design. An early favorite but as time passed, I now realize the stylized lightbulb motif is too overt for what I need.

#111, #112: Eliminated because ML combination while visually arresting, didn't quite convey other meanings and impressions (sophistication, authority, etc) sought.

#104: Can you remove the light blue "rays" that radiate up and to the right of the wall? I think they complicate the image.

You may also need to align the top and bottom of the L to where the planes of the top and bottom lines of the wall would meet the name if extended to the right.

Finally, is the blue of the name the same color as the wall? I think it should be, shouldn't it? I can't really tell on my computer screen. If it isn't could you adjust?

    Thanks!

#114: Can you change the font of the tagline to a sans serif font, or use the same font as the name? The current pairing of fonts seems to clash.

#111, #112: Powerful designs, but eliminated because reminded me too much of nuclear radiation symbol, or poison-warning / piracy symbol (skull and crossbones.)

#114: Thanks for joining this contest, very interesting design, fairly different (in a good way) from many others seen so far.

Will think about any needed modifications and will post comments to you here if necessary
