    Hi Designers,

We apologize if we have been encouraging everyone to follow a similar design idea. There is still time left in the project, and other ideas will be considered.

Anyone who would like to submit an original concept is encouraged.

However we still are in favor of a centered design with an embellishment on top of "SQUIRES".

Designs should not be too formal yet not too "corporate".

    Please use 2 shaded colors.

Thanks for all of your hard work.

Draft #157 and #158 by validesign is 'very' similar to #124 by mdsgrafix, therefore have been taken down.

Hi Designers, please don't withdraw any of your logos at this point. Thanks.

    are you trying for "Juicy"

#143 & #144 - good job. please don't use italics though and not sure we need the circles in the background. Colors on #143 & #144 are much better than #138. Again, good job!

Good morning from Los Angeles. Thanks for all of these, quite fantastic work. I have modified the star ratings to reflect the current favorites.
    Here are some notes:

#124, #101 - right now these are the favorites, regarding style, color, and attitude

132, 131, etc - would like to see these in a different color, closer to 124

118, 117, etc - The S is much better here than in 119. would like to see yours in a different colors too (more pink vs. peach please)

Will check in later. Thanks again you are all wonderful.

    Some more notes:

112, 110, 106 - can you make yours less contrasty. please lighten up the background.

112, 110 - also, please make it less formal. try to introduce a sense of whimsy.

This is for a PR agency, it needs to be a little fun, & light. Can't seem like we take ourselves too seriously.

Look at these images to get inspired:

    Thanks!

thanks for all the lovely new designs. can everyone please stick with brown and pink now? or pink and brown? or pink and taupe? I would like to keep it softer vs. hard contrast. thanks again for all your designs.

#99 and #101 are awesome. could #99 be done with the embellishment under the S more like #90? (i.e., the thicker one?). I think I like the shape/outline of the embellishments under #99 and #101 better, but I also like the thicker style of the #90 embellishment. brown and pink are definitely better than the purple.

#95 - this is much better now but can it have a different font, with something interesting in the Q? also, the crown appears a bit tilted to me because we lose the edge of the circle at the top of the S. Does there have to be a circle around the S? could it be removed or maybe use an oval instead? Use your judgment.

#97 - incredible. I am unable to find any fault in the design itself. It is breathtaking. However I am afraid for our purposes it is coming across as too formal or serious. Can it be a little less formal and more "fun"? closer to #90 or #95 in that regard.

#94 nice balance in the embelishment above but we are favoring colors like in #90 or something similar -- i.e. pink with taupe or chocolate. We also like the crown in #90 a lot. regarding font can we have one that is more like the ones where the Q is more interesting? (such as #81, etc)

#90 is awesome! would like to see some variations on this idea.

Thanks for these submissions. I feel we are getting very close.

Today we are still liking the centered design with "SQUIRES" on top of "PUBLIC RELATIONS" and the embellishment on top.

We want to leverage the regal sound of the name "SQUIRES" but at the same time this is for a PR/Marketing business so the logo also needs to project a creative/feminine edge.

Maybe look at some images from Juicy Couture for inspiration on how this could be achieved:

    http://www.onejuicy.com/wp-content/uploads/juicy-couture-velour-baby-fluffy.jpg

Here are my comments about recent submissions:

#81, 82, 83, 85,86,87 - all very good but can embellishment be simplified slightly and customized a bit for my logo? Love this, but the hesitation is that there is too much going on with all the different elements in the adornments. Overall the direction seems right though.

#88 - you definitely have nailed down the regal component of what we are trying to project, however overall it needs to be softened up and made to look more feminine/creative. I like the way you did the embellished S with just a crown.

#78 - in the right direction too, however the font for SQUIRES PUBLIC RELATIONS is too casual and the "S" too square. Would like the embelishment to be more "flowy". Think flowy (creative) vs. boxy (conservative).

    Thanks so much!

    Hello Designers,

Please let's now stick with a centered design with SQUIRES on top and PUBLIC RELATIONS below it (all capital letters). Centered above Squires, please add any of the following as you see fit (please try any or all of the below):

    * the initial "S" (should be artistic vs. harsh/severe)
    * a heraldic design with "S" (such as #38)
    * abstract mark (such as #15 or #53)

Comments on the top designs so far:

#15 - excellent font, colors, balance and overall design aesthetic. However we are not sure about the squares (see previous comments about squares)

#38 - this is a great concept, would like to see it softened up a bit from both a design and color perspective, with slightly more sleek and feminine elements.

#37 - Love these colors. We feel there is so much potential on this but have not quite hit it yet. Would love to see variations on the artwork centered above the word "SQUIRES". This could be a heraldic design centered around an "S", an elaborate "S", or an abstract mark of the artists chosing. Please keep it flowy and somewhat elegant/feminine. Does not have to be circles. Question: Does the font kerning need to be adjusted? Right now there might not be enough space between "PUBLIC" and "RELATIONS"?

#53 This is also in the ball park of what we are lookng for but please let's not use the cream/yellow color. We like purples, blues, pinks, or greens with a neutral color such as gray, taupe, white, etc. Please also see notes about #37 above.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

Dear Artists, we would like to discontinue with the shield theme as we feel it is projecting too serious of an image.

We would like to project that we are creative, trendy, but also professional and competent.

We read that circles project creativity and squares stability. Perhaps we could explore designs that incorporate circles.

please have a look at these two competitor web sites and their client list to see how we would like to position ourselves with the logo.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for these wonderful submissions. Regarding fonts, let's stay away from fonts like #20, #11, #14 & #6.

Regarding colors, please stay away earth tones such as #21. We prefer purples, blues, pinks and greens offset by a neutral tone such as grey or taupe.

#23 is a good new direction to explore. we will add stars to some of the other designs as well.

    Thanks

Thanks for everyone's submissions so far. We seem to have a theme started with squares. We are not opposed to squares if they fit in with your design, but they are also not a requirement. Regarding fonts: Would like to see a sophisticated, somewhat conservative font but with personality/character. Graphics should be simple & clean but also with some sense of uniqueness or personality.

Here are comments about the individual designs so far. Thanks for your submissions!

#1 good color choices, also very good on overall design aesthetic. Font is along the lines of what we would want but would be interested in other font ideas as well. Like that the Q is interesting.

#2 thanks for attempting to do something with a shield. would like to see different colors and also something a little less serious, more fun and lighter. how about something more monogram-like, inspired by this?
    http://www.fashion-post.com/Gallery/Juicy-Couture-Daydreamer-Velour-Tote/

#6 interesting arrangement. we would like to see this in a more updated, sophisticated font (the existing font reminds us of the 70s) and also with colors rather than b&w.

#7 please try different colors. also would like to see a font with some more personality. here is a simple logo that could inspire your design:
    http://miller-pr.com

#8 like the balance of the design. right now the word "PUBLIC" seems bigger than SQUIRES. Squires should stand out the most of the 3 words. perhaps Squires could go in the middle, with Public and Relations on the top and bottom? Not sure. Regarding the initials, can you try something more like a monogram? looked at your portfolio. our favorite is "3 degrees of goodness". thanks.

#9 and #10 - these are a lot like our existing logo. dont feel you need to stay close to what we currently have because we would like a different logo. we will be redesigning our web site around the new logo.

#12 & #13 we looked at your portfolio and our favorite of your designs is the Koukal, Johnson & Dougherty logo. however we would like ours to be a little less conservative. we are looking for something sophisticated but with character, if that makes sense.

#11 would like to see something more sophisticated in the font. in looking at your portfolio, the logo you did for "On Second Thought" is closer to the design aesthetic we are looking for.

#3-#6 were eliminated because we would like to see something more refined. thanks!

#2 was eliminated because we did not think it projected the hip image we would like to convey. #1 is closer to what we are looking for in terms design aesthetic. Would love to see some more concepts. Thanks!
