I also would still like to see some variations of the #22 theme (more detailed house, different colors) if possible. Still really like the overall design.

I like the simple, straightforward style of #41, but the overall feel is a little light. The shiny, new look is a little overstated, especially in light of the fact that the majority of the homes that I inspect are not new (most are 20-30 years old).

Sorry for the lack of feedback, I have been very busy the last few days, and will be very busy throughout the remainder of the time. I very much appreciate all of your entries, and look forward to choosing a winner!

Although I eliminated #27, #28, #29, and #33 because of the checkmark in the 'O' (because it is very close to the logo used by a local dairy), I was intrigued by both the red shield color, and would like to see what that looks like incorporated similar to the other designs (I assume that you left it out because the checkmark is also red - maybe you already tried it and it didn't work). Also, I would like to see the 'for' turned sideways (with tighter spacing, as in designs #1 and #2). Again, great work. I am really impressed.

Just a thought... Would maybe like to see a design from someone which utilizes (or is designed on) a shield. I mentioned in the brief that I wanted something which presents professionalism and competence, and that would show both, as well as protection from buying a lemon of a home.

I also like #23, with the detail of the house within the magnifying glass, but similar to one of the other designs, I am concerned about people seeing 'EYE DETAIL' instead of EYE FOR DETAIL, which is one of the issues with my current logo.

I really like the overall design of #22, but would maybe like to see a little more detail in the house, and maybe in a different color (the red checkmark is great!) I also would be interested in seeing the text in a different font. Well done!

I've added three window variations. I think the nicest one is the arched window (just my opinion).

The square window doesn't really fit, and the round window may still be cartoonish for you.

I eliminated the ines which use the number 4, because that opens up a can of worms. The doorknob I like, I'm not sure about the window. It made the home look a little more cartoonish.

Navadesigns - thank you for the updates. Will look closer soon.

I've added some detail (not too much) to the house, which makes it look more warm and inviting.

I also tried to address the 'for' problem. First, I used the number '4' instead. A curious reader would be drawn into a) reading the logo, and b) reading the line as a whole (not just "eye detail").

Second, I added extra space on both sides of the word 'for' to make it a little more legible. I also used color to group 'for' and 'detail' together so that 'eye' and 'detail' no longer stand out.

    Yes, #3, #4, & #5 I didn't like for the reason that you state.

I understand your concern for the 'for'. Thanks for bringing that up, and I'll try to find ways to address it.

Thank you, navadesigns, for your submittals! I like #s 1-2, 6-8. #3 - 5 is actually an idea that I toyed with orginally, but I'm sure that you had the same problem that I did - in order to fit all of the text, the handle had to be too long. I definitely like the idea of the others, though, and would like to see a few things. Maybe some add'l detail on the house (additional detail on the door, and maybe a window above). Also, one of the chief complaints I have about my current logo is that when people look at it, they read 'EYE DETAIL' instead of Eye FOR Detail, and I'm afraid that the same thing might happen with this text layout (although I really like it with the for turned sideways, and may ultimately decide that I can live with it). I'd like to see what you might be able to do to better show the FOR without emphasizing it.

Great work. I can see that you were trying hard to stay true to the concept of the orignal logo, and I appreciate the effort!
