#29, #30 - I like the direction and the quality of the wood image, but I think we're going to work with #31. We appreciate your effort and very good work!

#31 - this looks good. On the envelop, we cannot have anything on the front bottom of the envelope. You could take the wood along the bottom and run it along the left side? The return address should be in the upper left under our logo with the same justification and font as the business card. Try shrinking the logo on the front of the envelope to square more with the address. Also, remove the box in the upper right of the front of the envelope. The quality of the wood grain needs to be improved. It's pixelated and stretched. I think with those changes, we like your design!

#28 - I like the use of barrels on the back side, but that image is from our website and is 72dpi. We need 300 dpi art work for print. Also, the front side seems off brand with the back side... seems to switch to a modern look.

#27 - this looks great! The "NoName | Title" looks excellent over on the left (perfect balance), but a real name and title might need two lines, if you want to go ahead and split that up. ONE ISSUE: this design appears to have rounded edges. We need the full standard size business card, that way if we don't round the corners there is still design filling that space. Would you mind carrying this design over into letterhead and envelopes? Good work. Can't wait to see what you do!

#25 - I like the direction. Can you change the background of the back side to a dark barn wood or wood grain? If it's a portion of a whiskey barrel, that would be awesome. Also, the phrase on back - can you make it more narrow than the logo. If it needs to be two lines, give it a try. On the front, can we try moving the logo to the top, removing the top border things and then left justify the info below kinda how you have it?

cArnn - I hope you reconsider! You had some of the best design and were almost there. Please reconsider. #9 was my highest rated. :)

    I'm out sir !!!

cArnn - be sure to design the business cards with a standard size. No rounded corners.

#24 - do not put the web address on the front of the envelope. The font for the info on the bottom of the letterhead is too large, and we don't want that centered. Try reducing the logo on the envelope's front face and frame the address better. The card is too generic and the info is not framed and laid out well. Take a look at previous comments on font size and justification for guidance.

If you can display the complete set of items like #9 does, that will be very helpful. If you are waiting to do those based on the business card design, that's fine too, but don't forget the letterhead and envelope. Thanks!

#16 - want to try replacing the black space below the wave with a very dark barn wood and maybe replace the gray wave line with black or copper? In distilling, we use copper stills to make whiskey. might be a nice subtle touch.

#12 - #15 and #18 - I like the font sizing, but the layout of your #11, #16 and #17 are better. Looking promising!

#11 #17 #16 - I like the direction of the font size and positioning of info within a framed area created by graphics, but the wave is too generic - love the shape of the wave, but not the generic colorin the wav. Can you try maybe replacing the unused black space with very dark barn wood like you see in #8 (bottom left card?)

#8 would you like to try your design using your wood pattern like #11 #17 and #16

#10 - I don't like the off brand and generic wave pattern used here.

#9 - the return address for envelopes should not have email or web address. The letterhead is too generic. I like the direction of the envelope, but the info side of the business card needs a lot of work. Try resizing the logo on the info side of the card and the return address of the envelope.

#8 - bottom left is looking very promising as a back side for the business card.

#7 - I like the wood on the left.

#7 - Try using the uploaded white logo and darken the wood a bit. Looks promising.

#6 I liek the idea of adding a graphic element along the bottom, top or side bleed like you did on the bottom here, but the choice is too generic and doesn't communicate our brand: distillery, whiskey, moonshine, agriculture, farm, rural. Try wood, copper, stone, etc...?

#5 - I like the left justification much better. These are still a little too generic. Is Mycroburst making these corners round? We need the design to be standard (no round corners). That way if we choose to use round card stock, we still can. Can you try using dark barn wood as the business card's back side background?

#4 - I think the logo centering is fine if you need to do that, but not anything else.

  • May 24, 2011 3:30 PM BillyBTW

#1 - #3 - the card must be standard size (no rounded corners). There should also be envelope + letterhead. Try using barn wood on the back (no bleed). You can also remove the black or white layer behind the logo to isolate the logo for different backgrounds.
