    Hi Everyone,

I've narrowed it down even further now and if no more designs are entered last minute I will be sitting down with my client to choose the winner from the ones remaining.

Thanks again for all your efforts, we're really impressed with the quality of designers on here and look forward to using this site more in the future.

    Hi Everyone,

We've gone through and eliminated a number of the designs, so narrowing it down quite a bit now.

The contest is still open to new designs if anyone has any.

I've rated some of the logos that I think the client will like best or that I like for the project. I'll add to or change this depending on what my client says.

    Hope that helps everyone.

Your latest designs can't be used as apple wouldn't allow them to be. They are extremely protective of the apple logo.

    I will have to unfortuantely eliminate Draft #83 #84 #85 #86

Can you please state the number of the designs you feel are copies and I'll comment/eliminate if necessary or explain if I don't.

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

First off apologies for being so quite the last few days. I've just got back from handling some personal business. I am extending the competition by the allowable 3 days.

I have had trouble getting a hold of the client today to get some feedback on what other logos to eliminate and what ones to give ratings to, I will do this first thing tomorrow, even if I have to do it myself.

I will eliminate a few more that I know the client won't like from previous conversations with them.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Everyone,
Sorry I've not been commenting recently on designs, I'm dealing with a bit of an emergency right now, so I'll try and get back to make some more comments later on if I can.

One thing to note from the client is can we have some designs that don't orintate around spanners or cogs, there are a number of really good ones with that style, but my client wants to see some completely outside the box thinking if posisble. He also mentioned that he is happy to also losen the straints on the colours if that helps anyone.

I will also get him to start eliminating designs tomorrow and if I have time I'll try to type up the reasons to help everyone.

Thanks for all the good work that's gone in so far, there is a great selection and I'm going to try to use this site as often as possible in the future!

I like these especially #25 (not so much the half cut iphone, but the style of the shadows going around it).

However I'm concerned that having an image of an actual iPhone may cause an issue with apple as they can be very difficult when it comes to copyright of their brands.

In general, I like what your doing here, but I think the phone being upside down doesn't quite work for me.

    I like #17 shape compared to #18
#19 is better than #16 with that bigger dot.

These logos are like #8 & #10 just too much like a plumbers trade logo.

    draft #16

Sorry ignore my comment about it not looking like a phone. I meant to edit that part of the comment as when I looked at it again in a bigger image it was obvious.

These are quite nice, I like #16 most as it's the simplist and works quite nice in creating an 'i' outof the spanner and phone shape, although I wonder if the phone shape was only known because of the previous logos.

I don't think the media player type buttons need to be there.

The cogs are an interesting angle that I quite like. I think I like the font better on #13 better than #12

    draft #11

I like this style & simplicity, although I worry that Apple might not like how accurate the phone is to the actual iPhone as they can be very particular about the branding.

these look too much like it's for a joiner or plumbers. The orange I think is also too dark.

In general I'm very please with the logos so far #1-6, I would however like to see some other designers angle on a logo.

    thanks

I think just having the 'i' loses the descriptive impact that the other versions of this same style has.

    draft #5

I'm really liking this version of the logo, a part of me says the logo on it's own doesn't quite convey what they do, but the other part doesn't care becausse it's very pleasing to look at.

Is there a way to incorporate the spanner but keep the simplicy of what you have there?

    draft #4

I like the spanner as it still conveys repair and potentially better suited than the hammer of the previous design.

    draft #3
The orange text against the black again to me seems to suffer as it's a little hard to read, especially at the smaller size.

I do like the orange version more than the blue one.

    draft #2
I like this logo as it's more descriptive if the text is removed.

I don't know if it's just me but the iPhone blue colour on the black seems to almost dissapear at the smaller size and makes the word harder to read.

I'm wondering if the logo is also a little busy in the graphics department so for example coming through on a fax the logo loses it's ability to convey what the company does(yip some people still use them, but almost all the good logos work well on them).

Can you maybe try a version that is more outlines based on this design.
