Aleeshan, have sent you a direct mail with some thoughts and requests for a final draft change before the cut off arrives. Neale

So difficult guys as donarkz I've been lovin your stuff too! 19 hours to go and it's certainly between you both as it stands. With future projects we have planned you're the first two designers I'm coming to

Aleeshan, on 252 can you convert the Neale James to darker text and Breathe Pictures to a lighter text, although not quite so light as present. Apart from that, spot on!

    Hi designers,

Thanks for your really hard work on the logo, and we seem, as you can see by what's left, to be on the more simple tack with stuff. Aleeshan, loving the expensive look, really impressive. Have sent you a message with regard a couple of questions. Donarkz, I keep coming back to one of your very early designs, and as you can see, love this too. Mdsgrafix - really like the nj logo, simple and stylish. Not sure how you guys can rework these, because I'm not sure how much reworking they really need for the sake of it. We're getting to that time where this end we're beginning to vote amongst us in the office. Just wanted to say thank you though for the hard work so far. Also, we love the textured backgrounds that have been appearing and would like to talk more about these as a side project perhaps?

Not necessarily artsie no, it's just that this is the way it seems to be flowing. It's been quite useful to see these textures though as I like to see what my logo will look like placed against what are often dark backgrounds as watermarks on photos.

Draft #222 and variation by donarkz are derivative of #152 by aleeshan, therefore have been taken down.

So not to copy anyone's ideas.....just wondering if there is a request for a wood/or other kind of visual background in your design?

Again thanks for some superb work today on these designs. I'm also loving the backgrounds, and would like to talk more about wallpaper for my websites...

Got to the machine this morning, loved the hard work I'm seeing. Seems cruel pressing a word called eliminate, but know this, I truly appreciate all the efforts every designer is putting in. I just need to see the wood for the trees as the process builds.

Hi Jennifer, something neutral, so that it would look good on simple note paper as well as the web. Cheers, Neale

  • January 26, 2011 1:36 PM jennifermurray

if you wanted a filled circle in #53 what kind of color would you prefer? something neutral or would you like to stick with black and white?

donarkz #51, just noted the 'ink sign' off effect on closer inspection when eliminating some of the similar designs. Like this, it really works, but may be a little too lost against a dark background which many of my images are. The logo will also be used as my watermark across pictures you see. Any chance I could see a version where that feature is slightly lighter. I know it can't be as light as the 'neale' as it would start to invade it's space...

Jennifer Murray #53, love the NJ signature sweep and swirl, although I'm preferring a filled circle or lined circle as in #43

Thanks for your fab designs today. I've eliminated many I know, but I wanted to be able to see clearly those that I most like. Got some great ideas flowing.

Our favourite so far #18 - would love to see some kind of alternative with a motif, I know I know, didn't really ask for this first out Donarkz, but with 6 days to go, I think we have something really good here developing

Donarkz - lovin the text in #2 and #11 - could probably push the neale and james together more when they are presented in different colours. The strike through line is working well.

Finaldesign, #10 have never seen my n and j played with before, so I'm liking that alot, wouldn't mind seeing some different versions

Thanks for the design. I've got to be careful about top and bottom space, since if you look at the website I have limited vertical logo space, a flatter logo would probably work better. The Breathe Pictures font is also a little too plain. It's a big part of my heritage, so I need to it to fit in with the logo rather than look too divorced. Kindest, Neale
