    ATTENTION ALL:

    The designs we have been getting are all too busy. There's too much going on, or they are not versatile enough to represent non-tour aspects of our business (like restaurant bookings etc).

    Please find a way to think "Web 2.0" and "CLEAN". Too many of these logos are too dated to represent a logo for a web-based company.

    PLEASE NOTE: ALL LOGOS HAVE BEEN GIVEN A 1 STAR RATING, simply because we fear there has been a bit of mild copy-cating based on the stars received.

    We like many of the options, please DISREGARD THE STAR RATINGS and instead focus on the individual feedback. Those with previous high stars, fear not, our opinion has not changed!

    Hi Guys, I want to thank you again for all the designs you have submitted. I think its necessary now to say that the palm tree look has gone too far!

    #24, 25 the use of the palm tree is not bad the way its incorporated into the logo. However, the rest of the logo is only okay apart from the layout concept, and the metallic look isn't working for us. Same applies to #26 and #27 which are just too simple. The Logos will mostly be presented on WHITE backgrounds, so I would like to see all logos displayed that way.

    #22 - We appreciate your effort, we really do. But we are struggling to see what the icon is, and how it says anything about our idea (which I know there is only limited information on). The text is a bit "Word-arty"

    #23 - I am not sure purple is the right colour for us. At least not that way. Altogether nothing about the logo leaped off of the page at us as something we would seriously consider as representing "us". Not that it isn't good work, its just not for our company.

    I hate sounding like such a critical person, especially since I myself could never do any of this wonderful work, and you've only got a brief to work with. But feel free to ask us any questions!

    #17 and #18, there is something interesting about. Unfortunately we found them a bit too busy and difficult to read. More so #18 than 17. I am not sure it's the right text, but the concept is interesting.

    #19 is nice and clean. In fact, I do like the look of it. But it lacks some kind of "umph". It is very clean though, which has something going for it regarding some of the more discerning clientele (I suppose). #20 loses the neat feeling that #19 has, and so is less appealing to us.

    YOU ARE ALL FREE TO USE COLOURS THAT ARE NOT GREEN AND BLUE (although they are nice colours!). I just don't want anyone to feel restricted.


    Thank you all so very much for being a part of our competition! We've had many hours debating the options we already have and there's still more days for this challenge to run. We look forward to seeing more!

    Thank you guys for all the new submissions, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 and #9! Some of you have requested inbox feedback, so I will do that for those of you. The others, here are our thoughts (in no particular order).

    #8 - I can tell you know something of Barbados, using the flying fish! I personally quite like this pic, but some of us have mentioned it may look a bit too much like a "travel service" --- air travel being the one aspect of the tourism service we don't actually sell yet. Could you play with the concept a bit? I do like it!

    #9 - Meldev - talk about crative! I love that the entire logo works as one (as opposed to an icon + words). I think the colours are exciting, but they were apprehensions among us that they were a bit too playful. Someone felt it was child-like. Others loved it. I would love to see what else you have!

    #7 - Another logo that received some positive feedback. Unfortunately, the words "book it" seem to sit there someone like an after thought. Nice touch with the Barbados trident though!

    Taylorini, the text on #2 (dark blue fading to light blue) just seemed to give me a "word-art" kind of feel. I couldn't appreciate it. Also, for your future designs can you pop them up on a white background? These logos have an application primarily on the web, and will predominantely be on white backgrounds or very light grey/silver.

    I hate being so critical when I myself am not sure what I want! I did like the accenting of "it" however, because it can get lost in the rest of the logos.

    I somehow think that our name will also be our tagling "Book it!" so making sure the "it" is also prominent is kind of cool.

    [DISCLAIMER: this doesn't mean to you and all future designers that we wnat more submissions with italicized "it". Just that there's something about it that kind of works in this logo.] :)

    Regarding submission #3 by aravindhravi,

    We appreciate the ne concept, thanks for taking part in our project! I am not sure that "palm trees" are necessarily what we are going for. I know I said I wanted something to reflect "island life" but, it may be a bit too cliche. If you are going to incorporate palm trees, it should be very unique.

    Somthing about the design is too busy, but something is very likable. I am not a designer, and don't want to provide too much input so as to guide the design process too strictly. But we would love to see more of your work.

    Taylorini, thanks for the first draft! It needs to be more exciting. The icon is not bad, but the words just seem hanging there a bit... lonely. Maybe you can take a second whack at it?

    We don't really know what we are looking for, and so we don't want to guide too much - let the creators be creative!

    Looking forward to more....
